New website feature: Players Online!

Post by Roekemoes »

Today I wrote a cool new module that I think everyone will gladly welcome. If you go to the frontpage you'll see our two servers in the top left corner with a number. As you probably guessed, this number represents the current number of online players. This block will update every 10 minutes.

Another cool addition is that if there are players online, you can check the characternames by hovering your mouse over the server name.

Please keep in mind that there might be a slight delay when logging in and out before it will appear in the website. We're looking into speeding this up.

Enjoy!

It is easy to tell that Roek is awesome just by looking at his avatar. Well done my penguine bretheren! We will one day conquer the globe!
There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind

This is a very sweet feature, so sweet in fact that I'd suggest it being more visible than it is currently. Even after reading this it took me a bit of looking around before I noticed where it was... it's discreet, which can be a plus, but it's SOOOO discreet that it will easily be overlooked I think.
