Rot was a true pleasure to work with on TPI so as an ex-HDM I know he has the social skillset required to do a fine job as Lead. Besides, he's been here since he was jailbait and yet has managed to remain one of the most respected people this project has seen. An achievement if there ever was one.

Please reconsider Rots and do the right thing!

Kate
And I would step down from running if Rotku ran for LA. I agree he with everything MK said, except, the part about doing more good as LA...

PA seems to fit more what Rotku is already working on, though his community wide respect would make him a more effective LA than those currently running to include myself.

I of course don't think Rotku needs to run for LA in order to save ALFA from myself...I would have some kinda serious mental defect if that was the case. :eew:

But I will agree he would make a better LA than me.

The PA position is alot more important than the LA one, especially these days. A PA that is really active can do wonders for us. If the PA is missing for too long, things get problematic quickly. This isnt true for LA, who can be away for a while without it causing too many problems.

To be completely honest Kate, about a month ago, I was set on running for LA this month. I PMed Demson, as soon as he started going slightly inactive, to make sure he was certainly going to stick out his whole term - and he told me he certainly was. It was a real big shock when he emailed me a bit later saying he was going to step down. I had spent a fair while really considering what to do, however, after talking to a number of people, I decided that PA is where I would most be able to help ALFA. In my pervious experience in LA, I found the position very ineffective to get change done, without a very supportive Admin team. I believe that a lot more good can come from running for PA than what I could do in LA.

So Kate, I do understand what you are saying, but after having experience in both positions (almost running PA department the past half a month) I feel that right now ALFA needs focus on Player and DM departments more than any others.

With what time I can give, I am willing to come out of hiding and assist in whatever measure you find necessary if you get the post Rotku. I swore I'd never step up again to the front line, but if you have need for an underling, I am more than happy to volunteer as long as the community doesn't start firing bullets over drama in my direction again.

I completely agree with what you’re saying but up until the sudden nomination by a capable person just before the doors closed we were headed for a flame fest. I guess if anything the LA self nominations pretty much highlighted why Zelk was refused HDM status. Any doubts about his provocative nature were removed... and then some.

Glad to see this round of elections pulled from the fire,

Heh, after speaking with Zelk in chat about this election, I get the opposite idea. But that´s another story ;)

But I could throw my hat into the PA ring...

j/k of course,

Rotku I hope you take it as a feather in your cap that you only run solo, because the community has that much faith in you.

No way dude....only two possible outcomes.

You win = good

I win = dammit

Besides I don't like players... I'm a DM.

What better reason to be a PA then. You could stop new players getting in, and ban the current ones. Then no more players left!
