as a general rule don't kill the animals unless the server supports that (e.g. if there is a hunting static quest for deer) and it's IC for your PC to do so (usually all the animals and background stuff get thrown into one faction for convenience).

Have fun killing monsters..(don't use bare hands on those!)

He was probably doing the "get a chicken for Emma's dinner" static.

Emma's dinner got renamed "Chicken Marked for Slaughter" (instead of having a note in the examined description, as it did previously) and is in Shadowdale, not Ashabenford. ;)

I think he nuked a chicken on a farm, and another animal (also in the "neutral" faction) saw it, and its AI found the act quite objectionable.

The dog got pissed at seeing its future leftovers dinner taken away...

LOL - we should run a best death thread. I nominate this one.

One up from death by dog after killing chicken is death by chicken itself. Has happened. Being chased by a flock of chickens: also funneh.

I've seen 'hunters' get mauled by Deer. I've even seen the deer loot the hunters after! Also funneh is a Temple full of Lathanderites looting the buddy you just brought in for a raise.

I think best death goes to 'self-garrote' waaay back in the early days of WD.

Stepping into the small fires around Waterdeep to see what would happen was pretty impressive too.

Hmm...
Monks showing off their newly acquired Deflect Arrows skills and Mages testing out Counterspell were pretty entertaining too.

Best death...

Glorfindel's death by flower allergy in the first days of Shadowdale! (As the rest of us stood there in complete amazement, with no clue what had just happened.)

A DM who left the insta kill button too close to the examine button.
*chuckles*

It was Heero or Haltoc. :-)

Good fun.

WW picking a horse's "pocket" and getting swiftly bludgeoned to death by the disgruntled equine was the all time greatest.

Remember someone setting some powerful trap in TLR, only to have a deer walk into it, blowing both itself up, and the trap setting.

Or having an in-party rogue who left an active trap behind, which was tripped by a wandering badger, which enraged it's pal the deer, who jumped the party in retaliation.

Ahh, factions and insta-traps.
