cipher's legacy

Post by indio »

...speaks for itself.

I have tremendous respect for cipher, and will miss his leadership. That it might yet be filled by AcadiusLost is almost beyond belief, and a blessing our community should never forget.

I did want to publically state how cipher's commitment to ALFA has inspired me, how his skills have established the foundations for our very community, and how his diplomacy has steered admin to great heights.

For everything you've done I'm really grateful, and wish you the very best of success in your retirement.

What Indio said...

I have nothing but respect for the man. You've done a damn fine job for us, and though some ungrateful gits might not always show it...doesn't make it not so. You say you're not ending on a high note...I say bull, cause I am blaring the trumpets as you depart!

<danielmn>: Yes,
<danielmn>: Easily.

Cipher, thank you deeply for all you've done here, not only as Lead but all the other work you've done. I'm sure I speak for everyone saying that we'll miss your insightful ideas and level-headedness in all our discussions and debates. I hope you'll stick around, even just to stop by and chat some.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

It was a long walk going from NWN2 release to getting a server live and you kept the hopes alive all the way.

Hope you enjoy a well-deserved break.

Cipher, your management skills and ability to make the tough calls between rocks and hard places served you well for so many terms. Your willingness to get into the coding trenches and write served ALFA for longer, well before you succumbed to arm-twisting and ran for TA. Thank you for putting yourself out there, contributing to the give and take of ideas in an always reasoned manner and running your team professionally. Don't be a stranger. Come and play. It's a good refresher in why you did what you did so well.
Enjoy the game

Aye, Cipher ... i'm not much for complimenting people, but you are one of the few that deserves more than the standard fare of respect. When you're ready, get ingame so Mish and i can double-team on you. I.e., as Wynna said, enjoy the fruits of your labors. ;)

Thanks a lot Cipher.

I'll miss you in the Admin team and hope that you'll play or just stick around.

It's been a great experience being an admin along with you and I have always found your ideas very good.
