I don't think anybody is ducking the question. We have a new DMA who has a lot to come up to speed on, the standards team, to which Veilan belongs, is down to 1 active member, and AL and I have been working on a variety of different things. So, it's not something anyone has really looked at closely in some time. I think that's the honest answer.

ALFA is up shits crik' without a paddle and yet people are still expecting the administration to do their jobs.

ALFA has guidelines on the existing PrCs that carry over from NWN1 I'm sure. Whether or not they have existing guidelines for NWN2 seems like it remains up to those who are willing to help out the community. This is a bump cause I'd like to see some PrCs. :P

:soap: Could we just settle this quick and cordially? Or at least just quick?

Who are the final arbitrator on this subject, and why haven't they spoken yet? Just start releasing the requirements for the available PrCs, one or two per week or so. Surely that's doable?

Its a shame that a lot of players lack the technical understanding of how PrCs are made - But I'm sure they knew rules. Maybe some people who are interested could sign up for standards or whatever the hell PrCs fall under. Some times people need to take the initiative themselves.

I suspect Helios is correct and that the guidelines are unchanged from NWN1, namely you need to do a personal PC quest and have a DM unlock the PrC for you, assuming PrC's can be unlocked in NWN2, with or without the prerequisites.

You should probably log and post in game chat related to IC pursuing the PrC as well, to prove that you are RP'ing towards that goal.

(And I was being both sarcastic and was correct, they spent all their time nerfing statics....)

Well, there's a lot of guessing, but i think the answer to this would have to be presented by someone who actually knows.

I've been busy with other stuff recently, but I don't see a need to hold PrCs in a ill-defined "limbo" for the foreseeable future - the NWN1 system proved its worth and I personally know of no reason why it cannot just be transferred over.

Certainly there may be some things that need adjusting - IMO, there's nothing to keep us from finding out in-game and adjusting it after the fact. Sure, cries of 'nerf' and 'unfair' may be there but that's what the handy banstick is for :P
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

If by proved it's worth, you mean we used it because we had to and yes, people attained PrCs, then yes, I suppose that's correct.

However, there is discussion right now about what was 'wrong' with the system and how to 'fix' it, yes?

Agree though that we should not hold up current PrC candidates because the ALFA Machine is slow in getting things done. Until something new is presented, we should use what we already have.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Paazin, but I believe Paazin is referring to the technical side of things, not the ALFA requirements of what you have to do IG to get the PrC.

As to the latter, I think we've pretty much wrapped up that discussion.
Currently otherwise occupied.
