It should be back up.

Serverpronto's service is very bad recently.
I'm currently talking with a member about using another hosting computer for the vault.
I'll give you all the details soon.

We've got a returning ALFAn, GSID was "Rollie the Tenderizer" or something along those lines- the folder isn't in any of the Severpronto backups, it would have likely been Archived back when Zicada archived the inactive folders.

Zic, do you have the old copy, and can you restore it to /live? The guy hasn't played in ages, so I'm sure it's fine if it's not the 100% most recent version.

Thanks.

I dont have anything older than whats there sadly. Back when Bool took over running the vault he sort of removed all the old stuff apparently. Hialmar might have something that old laying around though,..

If its been this long though, Its not that much to ask to roll up a new PC maybe.

I have nothing older than what you can find in the vault backup directory on the DM ftp.

Bool had some older backups but they were inaccessible through the login I had to access the vault so I couldn't download them.

I dunno if this is a vault issue or not, but every server that I have attempted to login to has crashed today upon me reaching the character selection screen. My character doesn't show up, though I'm not sure if its because there is a problem with my player vault, or the server is simply crashing when I attempt to login. My GSID is Hitmann_D, my current PC is Jo'dan.

Thanks!

Fixed, his main pc was a 1 kb CEB, but there was an intact copy with a "1" suffixed written at the same time, so deleting the bad one, and renaming the good one, seemed to sort him out.

I am having the same problem. I tried to log in to Arabel again this morning after Arcadius Lost fixed me yesterday evening and the server crashed. Everything seemed fine last night after he fixed me, I was able to login and play with no issues.

I've done a bit of traveling waiting for Luskan to come back up, and every other server I've visited I've had no problems. This is the 2nd time my player file has been corrupted when logging off on Arabel. Is it just me, or have others experienced a similar problem?

I'm sorry for all the trouble :(

Fixed again, twice in two days is rather suspicious, though I've not had other reports of problems. It's possible the shfs mount on Arabel needs looking in to, Leareth said something about having trouble unmounting it after the first crash, as it was reporting more than one mount- could it be trying to write twice at once, causing the problem? If so, what could cause that, and how best to fix it?

Comfirmed, both the alfavault.servegame.org and the vault.alandfaraway.org hosts seem to be down, meaning the central DB is down for the NWN2 betas, and the live NWN1 servers are vaultless.

I've switched the OAS2 back to zic's SQL server for the moment, so people can still check that out while they wait for the central infra server to reappear.

Vault seems to have recovered now, thankfully. Switching the OAS2 back shortly.

Not sure if this problem is with the vault or me but it is something of an issue. I just DLed and installed all the haks on a new computer(Vista). When I first tried to log onto a server I noticed that my previous PC was gone, it has been a long time since I played so I figuired he'd been purged and rather than bother a DM with finding his backup I decided to start a fresh PC. So today I roleld up a test character (just to make sure all the haks were installed correctly) and noticed that when I logged out the PC wasn't showing on the vault(Sembia). Strange. So I tried again and the same thing happened. Then I went to another server (Moonshaes) and tried again, even using the emote ball to save the character to vault. Same thing.

I can log onto the servers fine but the vault doesn't seem to be showing up for me. Could this be some sort of Vista issue or is it some hak issue?

Edit: My GSID is black_hyena

Nyar, may know your problem.

There’s currently TWO versions of Sembia running.

“One” is from August (check mod’s filename), vaultless, on Dungeonserver, and properly posts to Gamespy.

“Two” is from September (check mod’s filename), vaulted, and on Zelknolf’s computer… it does not properly post to Gamespy, see direct connect info in a sticky in the Sembia forum.

I bet you rolled up a character on “One”, and after logout, it just vanished… i.e., no link to vault.

This is just a best guess, hope it aids.

Unfortunately I had the same problem on the
Moonshaes. I'll check with Sembia one more time though.

Thanks.

Edit: How about that...it worked. Though it did toss me onto a ship headed for TPI (not sure if thats a feature or a bug).

Thanks, that puts me back in business.
