The bard Sophia hears news of what happened to her friend Summer. Though their time was short, she made a great impression upon her. Doing what seems to be 'her job' in Gullykin, she sings a personal dirge to her fallen friend
Dirge of Summer, by Sophia.
My glorious summer is now at rest,
No more sun or happy zest,
Sounds of birds forever went,
upon clouds of autumn in falling breath
Sweet Summer that moved so quick
upon feet so lithe she could sprint,
and marvellous skills of the hin-fist,
clearing monsters in the forest mists,
But now summer is at an end,
And we honour her with this send,
In yondalla's garden she now attends
Taken by gentle Urogalan's swift winds,
to walk in fields of gold
To run in dreams so bold
But.. what I know to be true,
I could never say... I love you.
Though this is the end
You will always be
My sister,
...My friend.
