A weary looking elf was seen entering the temple in Beregost, approaching Father Richar with grim expression and carrying a mangled corpse.
"I bring the remains of Korlar Moonshade, an elf of some repute in the Sword Coast; I believe he may be known to you or perhaps even Most Radiant Kelddath. He was slain by outlaws in the Cloakwood... then his corpse taken and animated by vampires in the cloakwood."
"We elves have our own various customs and ways to intern those who have passed on, but his recent condition leads me to this place to ask whether additional measures would be prudent, and why vampires might place such a high value on Korlar's corpse."
"I also wish to inquire whether there have been rumors of vampiric activity troubling the region of late."
