You have inclination to respond to a word of mouth job offered by the tavern keeper of the Blade and Stars. The job seems a simple one: 15 coppers, drink, food and a bed for the night in exchange for removing an apparent “infestation” in one of his rooms, housing a well off but not overly prosperous merchant man. The scratching and stench from the room that people have reported are playing on the superstitions of the customers and it is costing the establishment business.

After sitting at a table and considering your options with a group of like minded companions (you have just met?) you hoist yourself from the chair and stroll over to the counter area. A burly looking disgruntled gent sits guzzling his ale, having little regard for you as you begin to discuss with the tavern keep. . .
