(( FYI without a DM to handle events, around any NPC you kill is automatically voided and revoked. We don't design these NPCs for combat ability and so forth and nor does our AI system account for other NPCs spotting it happening. ))
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

Warden of the Gate, Bevan Tark's corpse was recently and with difficulty dragged through the east Gate where members of the city Watch assisted in carrying him.

Stabbed, crushed, bitten and burnt he was nearly only recongnizable by his armor and golden cloak. A young man in a fancy blue hat handled the cumbersome task of dragging him.

*a note is written to the City Watch Coroner*

To Whom This May Concern,

I have heard a rumor that Bevan Tark was found dead due to some sort of misadventure. I wanted to send my condolences to the family of Warden Tark and offer any financial help to see he receives a proper burial or contribute to his possible raising. Warden Bevan and I conversed and travelled together at times and though he came from a rough background, always tried to carry himself with a degree of honor. He longed to find a brighter path for himself and I did my best to let him know that forgiveness was available to him.

Moreover, I have a request. Warden Bevan shared with me that he was in possession of a very special sword. It is an ancient relic of the Church of Lathander, only useable by those that follow the Light. I would ask that you pass this message on to whomever found him as the Song of the Morning and myself wishes for its return to our keeping. While that is their ultimate choice and it is my hope that even if the sword is passed along, it finds itself in the hands of a Lathanderite, or a equal keeper of the Light.

Again, I offer my condolences and prayers for his family, at this time of grief.

Sincerely,

Squire Caine Kross

It may get around the gate that somewoman named Kyrinal has warned both the guards at the entrance to the gate, as well as Kylander on the trade way about a possible killer bear. The bear has been seen very close to a corpse on the side of the trade way south of Kylanders farm.

Murder in Beregost!

The small town sees its share of crime amongst the caravans which pass through it, but a thing like murder is rare among its own.

"Beheaded…" A vocal acolyte whispers, in the Red Sheaf. The young clergyman’s hand is never empty of a drink that he never pays for himself and a rumour is born. Brienne Tarwood, skilled jeweler has been murdered most gruesomely, her head fully severed from her body. Her family missing, kidnapped! The woman was being blackmailed to steal a key to something as ransom, but to what the clergyman doesn't know. She failed and was subsequently killed, her family still missing and presumed dead at their kidnappers’ hands. Who would do such a thing?

"The iron throne" he whispers.

*due to an unfortunate stabbing of a Beregost guard, patrols have been doubled around the town. A well-known squire of the church has been seen patrolling with them as well as checking into the inns and taverns. All around town people are keeping their eyes on dark hooded characters who are not forthright with their identification.*

Residents of Gullykin have been noting that an increasingly familiar looking Gold Elf seems to be stopping in at the hin village fairly often of late, purchasing basic supplies and provisions with crisp nods and a friendly, if rather determined expression on his face. Some of the guards have noted with dismay that the Elf seems to make his way routinely northwards into the dreaded Wood of Sharp Teeth; if asked, he simply states that he seeks to stay vigilant against the threat of green dragons that might harm Gullykin and the surrounding areas, at times gazing towards the ruins of Firewine as he replies.
