A letter is left with the Innkeeper of the Helm and cloak in the form of a sealed scroll, marked with the seal of the Knights of the Eternal Order. When broken and unfurled, the scroll carries a careful and refined amount of Penmanship. The scroll reads..:-
Dear Friends,
I regret having to write this letter, although it has become quite nessicary given that the Helm and Cloak was empty by the time I was due to get underway. After alot of thought on the matter, I have decided to travel north to the Silver Marches in an effort to lend my assistance against a plague which appears to now be spreading through the land there. After the defeat of the hag and the use of undead has since come to a close, I was obligated by the mandate of my Order to move on and apply the will of my Lord to those in need.
While I regret having to leave behind the friends that I made, I hope that fortune will smile on whatever you put your minds to, and if you should ever visit the Marches, I will be there if you wish to seek me out.
May the Gods watch over you all,
Signed,
Lady Kalana Du'Monte,
Squire to the Knights of the Eternal Order.
No one in this world can you trust. Not men, not women, not beasts.
[Points to the sword.]
But this...this you can trust.
