At Aewyn's bedside

Post by Ithildur »

"We're going to find her, Vel tel Arael*,"

The Elf known as both Kythorn and Kyrie tried with all his might to try and sound as confident and reassuring as he could manage.

"We have nearly a dozen individuals with unique skills and talents, access to the Weave, and powerful prayers granted by the Seldarine. We even have the Knights in Silver involved, which will enhance..."

He paused and smiled a touch as he selected a more hopeful choice of words.

"... guarantee, our chances of slipping in and working against reduced numbers. We even know where she's being held, Aewyn. We will find Amnestria. We will find A'sum, our daughter."

Kyrie nodded to himself as he rubbed his nose, looking away for a brief moment to hide the flicker of trepidation he suspected his eyes might betray. With renewed smile, he turned back to face Aewyn, to consider her countenance.

It was her face that had brought back into place so many other memories, like many lost and scattered pieces of a puzzle - finally found and restored. Aewyn's face had saved him, truly.

Truly, but not entirely, for there were other pieces that remained to be found.

"Arael, my heart, I need your help," he spoke quietly.

"I need your help... remembering what Amnestra wore... the day we were parted, and the day that she was taken by the wyvern riders. Clothes, shoes, hair ribbon, anything she might still have on her, that might help us locate her using the Art."

Kyrie/Kythorn trudged back to his dorm room, head lowered and shoulders slumped, looking rather exhausted emotionally and physically. A stained note fell from his hand to the top of his desk.

He would have to search Sundabar for word, even rumor, that might give hope... while preparing for the worst.

During his most recent visit to Sundabar, Kyrie makes the rounds at various watering holes and the Master's Hall, dropping coins and anxiously inquiring whether an elven woman who answers to the name of Ilyanna has passed through in recent cycles.
