Aside from the bustle of murmured whispers concerning the undead plaguing the south side of the river, much is quiet.
A few guards, however, seem keen to quietly spread rumours of the tall northerner talking to thin air, and randomly collapsing to the ground. Some who hear of it think him crazy, some haunted by the undead, and still others pity him and think it some manner of disease or poison. Most seem to just find the rumours amusing, though Ulisan and a few guards seem to regard this northerner with due caution now.
Most recently, the northerner returned to High Hold and seemed for the most part more calm, if not preoccupied with something. Shortly after returning and helping a few guards dispatch some wandering skeletons, he retired to the Temple of the Red Knight, and has not emerged since.

Re: Heard Around High Hold
A Human and a Dwarven Patrolman returned from their daily morning route in a terrible condition. The Dwarven guard was nearly weeping and only mumbling the words, ""Orc" and "Sandwich." He could not be consoled, thus was given several days off. The human guard, while coherent, simply stammered that he needed to pray immediately and went to the temple for consolation.

Re: Heard Around High Hold
After witnessing a well-reviled human female ranger, reported to be a vanguard for the undead efforts, be extremely insubordinate to a well-respected Palladin and Knight, the guards were faced with yet another strain on their simple minds and conservative virtues.
The rumor is circulating among the irregulars and the guards who happened to overhear that one of them is a Druid of Talona. This has caused a great deal of unease amoung those that walk certain paths and further made it difficult for unenlisted and unconscripted "help" to be trusted fully despite their overt actions to the good fo the Hold and the efforts against the undead.

Re: Heard Around High Hold
The Lady Alyra and crew attending reported the possible finding of two of the bandit's corpses, charred and ruined, near the tower located between High Hold and Rivermoot.Rotku wrote:Two bodies were found just outside High Hold today, one dead from arrows one from a blow to the head. The only witness speaks of seeing four bandits at the scene, lead by a human, in his mid-twenties, nearly 6'6" with a balanced, athletic build; with dirty blonde hair that hangs in a loose part from the middle of his head to just past his ears. Further details have been given to the High Hold watch.
A great persistent heat was eminating from the tower, preventing the irregulars from entering. However they did report that they were attacked by flaming bat-like creatures and balls of living flame before they withdrew to return to High Hold.
