Having been out there with the group but having to log early a couple questions about what a human or visitor might learn over the course of a day or two spent there:
Leadership - King Emerus Warcrown sits upon the throne of Felbarr. WHile being the final arbiter of what the eight thousand strong of Felbarr do, a council of Clan Cheifs as well as a handful of advisors help Emerus in the debate of what is best for the community.
Local Politics - Command of the immediate vicinity. As a whole, the dwarves are insular, worrying about their own problems, and only involve themselves in something they would see as a threat to Felbarr...however, regional affiliations would dictate action against major incursion or problems that arrise therein through the League of the Silver Marches.
Regional Politics - King Emerus Warcrown sits as one of nine Peers of the League Council headed by Alustrial. Auvendell would likely fall into the protectorate of Felbarr if SIlverymoon itself does not, given the relative proximaity of the two. Beyond this, Felbarr maintains close relations with other communities via the Lowroad, a maintianed and guarded set of passages underground that connect Felbarr with Ascore, Citadell Adbar, Sundabar, and other communities. THe lowroad is used primarily in the transportation of goods. A detachment of 200 Legion soldiers is also posted at Felbarr, consisting of Adbar infantry and Knights in SIlver. This detachment is headed by Jandar Starblade. Most of what is mined from Felbarr is transported to Mithrall Hall for smelting.
Economy - The mines of Felbarr consist of Mithral ore and Gold ore. Beyond this, trade in dwarfcraft items, such as armour and weapons can be expected.
History - Felbarr started as a dwarven hold, but was given over to humans as the dwarves retreated deeper into the earth. While in human hands, Felbarr fell to orckin hordes, and was renamed the Citadell of Many Arrows whilst in their possession. In 1367, a huge horde of orc, pressing toward the settled human cities, rerouted their path and made war with the orcs in the Citadell, led by King Obould, father of Bluetusk. After four months of seige, the orcs finally broke through the defenses of the Citadell, only to be in turn attacked by a dwarven force. The dwarves, led by Emerus Warcrown, retook the citadell, whilst Obould himself escaped. The past years have been spent refortifying the citadell's previous only line of defense before the rune gates, The Hammer. After this walled entryway was re-established, the Anvil was constructed, a similar guarded entryway beyond the Hammer. The Vigils are also new, two ledges overlooking the Hammer and Anvil equipped with heavy Ballistae and catapults to crush any army that might lay seige to the Hammer or Anvil. Recent years have also been spent reviving abandoned mines.
More info is out there, this is just a brief summary. Others can add to it as they like.

<Castano>: danielnm - can you blame them?
<danielmn>: Yes,
<danielmn>: Easily.

One very minor correction to the above: Auvandell, while nominally a part of Sundabar, is mostly left to fend for itself.
