Re: Dwarven News
Thousands of humans and dwarfs have arrived at the Low Road gates beneath Citadel Felbarr.
The tale told by their leaders is wild with many variations spreading through the dwarven city.
Some say they arrived from the Underdark after travelling all the way from the Western Heartlands beneath the ground while others say they simply appeared out of the ether, sent by the some great wizard. Tales mention drow, illithids, the gods, and sorcery in varying degrees.
The Citadel is now buzzing with activity as efforts are made to feed the hungry refugees and to treat the many wounded among their ranks.

Re: Dwarven News
Living encamped at the edge of the Low Road begins to take its toll.
Spiders are attracted to the masses of humans and dwarves living exposed beyond the gates of Citadell Felbarr in the dangerous darkness. As lives are lost some kin begin to grumble at the fact that the arrivals have not yet been moved inside to the safety of the Citadel.
Others though, question the wisdom of allowing so many unknown, especially humans, inside without time to further prepare.

Re: Dwarven News
A small band of human and elven adventurers set out from Citadel Felbar seeking the comforts of Silverymoon, and only hours after they left one of them returned carrying the corpse of Kin wearing Felbar's mark upon the armor. It is unknown if this returning adventurer was the sole survivor or what came to pass, though there is talk of Giants being responsible for the slain Kin.

Re: Dwarven News
There have been large numbers of the painted tribes of Many-Arrows occuping the trail to Felbar. Are the Tribes once more ready for war? Are they simply raiders there to take what goods they can before once more fleeing back to their homes of filth and cold?
Current Characters: Aelenta Renvanith
Attack on Felbarr!
Red-painted humanoids and giants continue to block the pass to Felbarr. As far as anyone in Sundabar or the Gem knows, the citadel is weathering a blockade (and it is well-equipped to do so).
To anyone in Felbarr,
Edit: The war in Felbarr ended with the arrival of the Argent Legion in the Low Road below the citadel. Precisely how they got there is not widely known, though magic is almost a certainty. With Felbarr quickly getting resupplied, the siege forces tried one last, desperate attack against the citadel and failed utterly.

Re: Dwarven News
Word begins to spread about an exotic looking, long legged, and silver eyed woman... a finger waggler whose quick actions saved the life of one of Felbarr's own daughters from an attack that took place en route to Silverymoon.
Further rumors say a deeply grateful kin swore on the Moradinsamin that he would find a way to repay the lass somehow, someday.

Re: Dwarven News
Word has it that a recent decree of King Emerus Warcrown has proclaimed that gnomes are to be welcomed as kin at Citadel Felbarr.
Some dwarves have been said to be grumbling under their breath about the ruling while others welcome the change.

The gnomes in question are refugees from Blindgestone which was overrun by the Drow. These deep gnomes share the dwarven passions of gem mining, gem crafting, and knowledge of the underground rock; and also share their hatred for the drow.dergon darkhelm wrote:Word has it that a recent decree of King Emerus Warcrown has proclaimed that gnomes are to be welcomed as kin at Citadel Felbarr.

Re: Dwarven News
A small party arrived at the gates of Mithril Hall bringing word from Fourth Peak. It is hoped that their information reaches the ears of King Breunor Battlehammer so that he might act quickly.
"Aye. We were at the Fourth Peak fort not 2 sunrise back. A few goblins there, but no real resistance. Place were mostly overrun with wolfs.
I reckon a group o' Gutbusters could get there an' hold the fort easy enough...an' wit' a few engineers to construct a gate ye could keep out the buggers fer a long time."

Re: Dwarven News
A very large bear has been spotted now a few times along the Felbarr trail.
There is thought among the dwarves of putting together a hunting party to take a trophy.
The mount and pelt of a bear that size would also likely fetch a fair sum from the right buyer.

Re: Dwarven News
Patrols along the Low Road have increased in recent rides. Tavern chatter at the Drunken Dragon tells of a new generation of Citadel defenders with dreams of reestablishing the underground trail between Felbarr and Mithril Hall.
Some of the most visionary (or perhaps whiskie-addled) speak of a rebirth of dwarven culture in the North.... a New Delzoun.

Re: Dwarven News
At the drunken dragon, rumors of a dark evil come to the gates of Citadel Felbarr ...
A fallen holy warrior of Moradin was returned to the fortress, supposedly laid low by some evil magics. The Sonnilor of Moradin is said to have smashed some black necromantic diamond with his holy hammer.
Some say the act has bansished the evil from the dwarven halls in one stroke, while others say that the whole area has been covered the dust of undeath .... and the the Warcrown is being briefed as to how the dwarves of Felbarr will go to war against the dark forces.

Re: Dwarven News
While addressed to the King of Felbarr, likely this message passed through many hands before his; and perhaps never even gets to Warcrown himself.
To: His Majesty, King Warcrown of Felbarr or His council.
From: Goinar Ironheart, humble servant of The All-Father as well as of His Majesty.
Regarding: the current state and disposition of the Hold of Olostin and its ruler, Lord Elthondsson.
Your Majesty, I shall not waste Your time. The situation at Olostin is as follows:
The Hold itself is defendable, and could withstand both assault or siege within reason. The surrounding village however would be lost in such events. The rest of the lands, apart form outlying farms, is untamed and generally under nominal control of the Treefolk leader known as Turlang. However, many of his kinsmen have fallen under a foul curse rendering them aggressive and beyond reasoning. The reposted host of undead remains unseen to the point that I must wonder if ever it existed. Though even without the risen dead, blighted Treefolk as well as other hostile forest creatures make the trek from the Olostin Hold to the Silvery Moon unwise to the unwary.
His Lordship, Lord Elthondsson, acts increasingly angry at the slightest provocation. He appears to be convinced the whole of the Confederation of the North has intent to invade, and emphasises to all his standing alliance with Lord Turlang and his Treefolk. I know of no plans to invade any part of the High Forest, and do not know what has left the lord of the Hold so riled.
I feel I must make note of the arcane magistress Aedelvana, the wizardess of Lord Elthondsson's retinue. While I do not doubt her devotion to her Lord, she seems to be working on matters outside her liege's purview. Specifically, she seeks to study - and sends out "adventurers" to study - ruins and remnants of the Fallen Kingdom of Phalorm. Ostensibly to recover artifacts to fight off the unseen necromancer's army, these quests appear to be haphazard at best.
My humble advice:
Goinar Ironheart.

My humble advice:
- Do not send any aid to Olostin's Hold, unless explicitly requested by its Lord - he will likely take any show of force as an invasion, and the denizens of the High Forest act hostile to Dwarves as a rule.
- Send a messenger to the Lady's College. Much of the information uncovered in the Phalorn excursions seems to be shared with the wizard academy of Silvery Moon city and, combined with their library, should give these scholars valuable insights regarding this Dwarven co-ruled Lost Kingdom and its possible relation to the situation around Olostin.
Goinar Ironheart.
