The sad news of Talsons death was greeted with heavy hearts at Rivermoot, preperations were being made to welcome him to the village, and all were eager to meet him and looked forward to his assistance against the troubles that plague them.
None were more so grieved than Jarens Arna, besides loosing a fellow Helmite and Aide-de-camp, it has placed more pressure on his shoulders in respect to said troubles.

He will write letters of regret to family and friends of Talson and offer any help he can with arrangements of internment.

There are talks of a knight clad in dark plate returning to the Rivermoot area after a long absence. Soldiers and commners talk about how he helped a group kill the orcs that destroyed the plantation and how he refused Pomador's gold after some harsh words.

Rumours circulate that the Rivermoot plantation has been stripped of crops and heavily damaged from an orc raid that prompted Lt. Pomador to lock down the gates to Rivermoot. After a valiant effort by a group of adventurers the raiders were driven off, but the legion is said to have suffered at least five dead.

Jarens Arna urges Lt Pomador to seek replacements as soon as possible, what with the loss of Knightblade Ogdenstorm, Watchnight Whitsword being away on other duties, he suggests that the village of Rivermoot could well find itself overun by these evil creatures.

Rumours circulate that the unrest in the mountains above Rivermoot continue to worsen. Soldiers at High Hold and RM are heard discussing the mounting casualties which now are reported to be at 13 legionaires. Some are heard to say that the various lower creatures are raiding in tandem.

A group of adventurers mounted an expedition into the hills above Rivermoot for a pre-emptive strike against the unified orc and goblin hordes that have been attacking the town nightly. Upon ariving at their lair, the group stumbled upon what appeared to be another raid in the offing. They battled a large band of orc issuing from their cave. War horns sounded and then the heroes battled ogres and even a troll that issued from the cave. In a fighting retreat back to Rivermoot, they were again beset by a large goblin warparty, some of whom sprang up from trapdoors in the hillside trails. Amazingly, none of the group perished, and returned to give warning and a full report to Lt. Pomador. The scout Corio D'Sarte, who it is rumored led the expedition, was heard to report to Lt. Pomador that he had covertly entered the orc lair and found it literally teaming with seasoned warriors preparing for an attack. Civilians would be well advised not to enter the caverns unless well prepared. Shortly after the return of the adventurers, the town was again attacked by a large band of orc and goblin. With their help the Legion forces again repelled the attack.

Several townspeople speak of an epic game of Farkel (dice) played in the Rivermoot tavern which was spectated by large group of locals. It is said after the game, one of the players suddenly collapsed upon the floor and upon awakening spoke of strange revelations and visions. His opponent, a stranger to the town, disappeared before hand.

Two new names appear upon the Rock outside Rivermoot, Seamus and Sevaera. It is said the two died by means of magic, cast by mages who had come through one of the caves above Rivermoot through means of a portal, along with a host of gnolls. The mages are at large, and the portal has vanished.

The attacks upon Rivermoot continue. The malitia itself lost another member near the plantation, the cause of death remains uncertain. It is known that goblins and kobalds were sent to attack at the gate itself, while a seperate force of orcs and giantkin strode down from the plantation ridge to make war. The defenders of the gate led by one Gareth of the Kelemvorites and the ranger Liam repelled the forces sent toward the gate, while at the same time, two others, one Garlus of Clan Ironbeard and one Corio repelled the forces upon the plantation ridge before they had chance to do damage. It is also said that the dwarf Garlus has a keen interest in protecting the town, as it appears he can be seen night and day no matter the hour, seemingly not to sleep at all.

Rumours along the river highway are that a large force of Argent Legion is mustering at High Hold.

Rivermoot, although plagued with near nightly raids by humonoids, is a-buzz with talk that Lt. Pomador has issued warrant for the arrest of the repulsive orc-blood known as Grull Yellowtooth. The charge is rumoured to be murder of legionaire Stamish, a human.

With twenty lashes and dismissal from the Argent Legion, many in the town whisper how generous the Lt was with his sentencing of the beast of an Orc. Few could remember quite why such a creature was allowed in the Legion in the first place.

Word spreads like wildfire of the Legions valliant raid into the hills above Rivermoot. The enemy appears to be in full route. Word also spreads of Brave Ashton Lanneseph, whom it is said laid low a small dragon all by himself upon the very bridge of Rivermoot!
