A man was seen stumbling out of the crypt near Rivermoot, no one had seen him walk in and he appeared to have no senses about him as he moved from the exit and past the town, this has caused stirrings of the dead rising and further worry about the recent talk of vampires and the unquiet dead.

While in Rivermoot attending to the Inquiry, Rathalan Whitsword has been quite involved in the care and treatment of Legion and militia personnel. He has given haling elixers to patrol leaders, used his own blessings to tend wounds of the injured, and even used some of his personal wealth to purchase replacement weaponry for the men who have seen a deterioration in the uality of the armaments coming from Siverymoon.

Some speak that it must a sign of the Watchknight's righteous altruism, but some merchants and legion officers have whispered that it is nothing more than a crass political ploy related to Whitsword's efforts to build a fortified tower and temple of Helm into the walls of Rivermoot, aimed at diminishing any Argent Legion or civic opposition to the plan.

A man in a rich green tunic can be seen to accidentally blow brandy out of his nose upon hearing this remark, turning bright red at the severe burning sensation. When asked about his health, the man can only remark that he was just remembering a funny joke.

Two men were seeing taking a couple of children and man into the Temple of Lathander's late last night. The three of them were left in care of Sir Markus, who was seen rushing off to consult some fellow priests on the matter. Word quickly spreads around town, as word does, that he believes the three of them have had their memories taken. The girl (aged ~8) lies in a coma-like state, and the boy (aged ~10) and the man seem to be living in a half-absent manner.

A couple of days later a distressed looking lady was seen arriving at the temple. She hasn't been seen leaving the boy's side since.

Travelars in and out of High Hold swear they heard the sound of battle near the road itself just outside of the Hold. The barks of dogs known widely throughout High Hold from previous attacks as well as being local denizens could be heard, as well as the thumping of something large and a booming voice.

Later in the evening, a small ragged band was seen entering High Hold, a human, two dwarves and an elf. One of the dwarves was seen to raise up ten heads on poles outside of the gates of High Hold...giant heads of different colors. Upon the congratulations by the guards for ending the nearby threat, one of the dwarves was said to be heard saying "Eht taint ore yet lahds...."

Aaron Ra the priest of Kelevmor in Rivermoot has let it known that during his absence Father Ward Hallion will be Pastor of the Church of Kelevmor in the areas of RIvermoot, Highhold and the small settlements north of those places.

Other rumours around Rivermoot suggest Father Hallion was a warmongering mercenary before he became a priest, and another that he used to own a farm in Goldenfields.

A rash of criminal activity has spread throughout the city of Silverymoon. From businesses being blackmailed to workers being kidnapped and travelers being taken into alleys and beaten for coin, the whispers tell of roaving band of cutthroats, and worse. Many whisper in corners about the gaurds innatenntion and inactivity, some say in part because the guards are being paid to look the other way. I t is thought that the murmers in the city will soon turn into shouts....that no safety or justice is to be found within the walls of SIlverymoon. The citizens and shop owners grow restless.

As a somewhat unusual request, Watchknight Rathalan Whitsword has asked to view the body of Boatswain Dan Smalgurs, who was recently interred. The request went to Ward Halliams.

Word around Rivermoot speaks that the Bo'sun was lured from the tavern by a alluring harlot woman who then cut off all of fingers.

Word spreads through Rivermoot that goblins and kobolds have been sighted ranging close to the bridge and gates. A group of adventurers recently entered one of the caves close to the town and reported slaughtering a large number of kobolds mustering in the cave.

Rumours of a mysterious murderess begin to circulate amongst the patrons of the various inns from Rivermoot to Silverymoon. There seems to be no consensus of what manner of creature this murderess is other than that she is rumoured to be quite beautiful and equally deadly. Some say she is a nymph, some a succubus, some a harlot in league with the bandits that have been plaguing the towns and highways of late.

Descriptions of her vary wildly, but it is easily established that many males, and some few females, have gone missing of late after being seen speaking to a masked feminine figure.

Watchknight Whitsword was said to have attempted to take a masked woman into custody for the crime as she exited the Rivermoot gates. However, when Legion footman Tralth Berogin attempted to execute the Knight's order and place a set of manacles upon the woman's raised hands, she vanished right before all asssembled in the broad light of day.


Adding even more mystery to the rumors about the village, Ward Halliam of Kelemvor is supposed to have told the Helmite preist that no such body fitting the description of Dan Smalgurs was ever brought to the crypts for irites.

*Inside the cobbler's small workshop in Rivermoot two young women and the shoemaker work cutting some leather to repair militiamen's boots.*

Rivermoot Cobbler's Daughter: "Did you see the new Hemite Commander, Daliah? He's like a dream in silver. *sigh happily"

Daliah: *giggly excitement* "I know. His eyes are a blue as the sky in Elient and his smile could melt the snows at midwinter."

Rivermoot Cobbler's Daughter: "And I heard he slew 4 orcs outside of the gates just last night and then helped old lady Matthias to get her cat down from a high ledge." *sighs again*

Daliah: "I know, Garla! So fierce yet so beautiful. I wonder if Jarens Arna has a wife."

Rivermoot Cobbler Junasak: *overhearing the two* "You lasses quit your gossip! If you had half a mind 'tween ya, ye'd both know that we're in trouble deep as horse shite! The lad's barely old 'nuff fer be shaving his beard. And thye send with 'im an orc savage! I'll tell ya', the House Invincible must be havin' some real problems te have sunk so. Both ye'd best pray this lad know his work else those goblins that been at the gates gonna be through 'em an' wreaking havoc afore the snow flies!"

The ceremony placing Jarens Arna in command of the Rivermoot Contingent Forces was a somber and grim occasion. Both a heavy cold wind, as well as rumors swirling around regarding the manner of the appointment of the Holy Warrior and the demotion of Lemuel Ogdenstorm and Rathalan Whitsword made it impratical for the usual Gauntleting Protocol , the Helmite ritual for transfer of command, in the village green.

In addition, Arna's aide-de-camp, Talson, had been found dead only a day before, not more than a ride since he had taken up the position.

So after speaking the Rites of Duty over the fallen Talson, Arna was passed the command sword outside the crypts of the Kelemvorites.

Without even returning to the village, Rathalan Whitsword left the ceremony and made for the Rauvinvale Road, eastward for Silverymoon.
