The kobolds seemed to have set few ambushes near the great oak and some of them are likely still about. The druids of the great oak hoped to enjoy some peaceful time after recently dealt with a troll problem, but got their hands full of work again with the kobolds attacks. Travelers are warned to be careful when traveling in small numbers near the great oak.
(( OOC, this encounter is still set and should be a fair challenge for a balanced party of lvl 3s or so ))
A local adventurer is seen posting notices in High Hold and Rivermoot:
" Looking for compatriots to join an expedition to the caves northwest of High Hold. Humanoids of there have been harassing trade and attacking locals in the region. Mission of the expedition is to raid the area and slay any leaders identified. Loot to be shared equally in addition to a local reward being offered. All interested report to the Gate of High Hold on the morning of four days from now.

* Kobolds still roam in increasing numbers and aggressiveness near Rivermoot and the western vale*
* Something has been killing sheep near the homesteds at Rauvinwatch. A farmer claims to have seen a four legged beast of some size loping off toward the river*
* Lizard folk swam across the river at High Hold and attacked two guards. The men sustained only minor injuries before the creatures withdrew*
*A travelling caravan entering Rivermoot said it was attacked by a shuffling creature of undeath as it came near to the village at dusk the other evening. The drovers fled without harm, but claim to have seen others in the distance*

Sergeant of the Legion on Duty of the eve recieved report from a Knight in Silver, eastern road and outside of Wendover crypts clear of undead. Within the report detailing the Knights encounter are to be found the phrases "magic using undead" "mummies" and "shambling zombies". Report signed by one Alyra Ashedown, in service of Silverymoon. The guards of the gate report that with the Knight arrived one of teh Spellguard, a heavily plated dwarf, two elves with bows, and two humans, one of whom carried "The biggest axe I have ever seen".

A well armoured dwarf was seen dragging something on his shield through the streets of Silverymoon, and across the bridge toward the Tempite Temple. Some say that the cloak that draped over the shield was a Tempite Cloak.
Hours later bells rang, as it became apparent that one of the followers of Tempus had been laid low.
Those within the Temple and Faith itself would know the body that was dragged into the Temple as that of Zarghest Vruhl...those not knowing the name would still easily recognize the man by his one good eye, as well as the old scarring upon his face, apparently from blade wounds. Word in the Temple is that he was found near orcs...one dead, another alive.
The word goes out through Silverymoon proper after this occurance.....
Though the war in the Highlands is over, threats still loom in the Passes, including a Clan of giants. It is unwise at this time, as at any time, to tread Silverymoon Pass alone.

Kobalds had raided Rivermoot even setting fire to the bridge before being repelled. Several of the local militia were killed and funeral pyres burned into the night long after the bridge was saved.
Afterwards small band of heavily armed men and a halfling woman left Rivermoot with weapons drawn. A day and a half later they returned covered I gore, mud and soot. On reporting to Legion Sergeant Wilson, whatever was said put at least some smiles on faces of the local militia after their recent losses.
A service was held in Rivermoot main for the Militia lost in the raid, and also for two others apparently found during an assult into the caves. The young Corporal of the Legion, and Paladin of Torm, led the service speaking of the honour those lost in duty had brought to their families and reminding the townsfolk of the sacrifice these families had made in service to the town and charging the town to take care of them.
Mutterings from one of the gate guards at the tavern indicated there had been some sort of non-violent confrontation at the bridge between the young paladin and one Roland Bishop.
A fight was prevented by Myrtle at the Inn afer one Kert Davis was seen to be a touch too friendly with Goodman Farriks daughter

Kobold attacks have ceased around Rivermoot for the last ride. Villagers, militia, and Legionairres alike all welcome the break from hostilities.
The Rivermoot bridge has undergone repairs to it's structure sustained by the magical fire attack. Sergeant Wilson has discussed the need for a more secure fortification for the Marches western most outpost. He was overheard saying "perhaps now that the war is over in the pass, the dwarves might show some willingness to send engineers to aid in construction."
Rumors trickle down from Citadel Felbarr, from dwarf to Knight, Knight to merchant, merchant to townsfolk: It is said that Alyra Ashedown and Olaf Beljuril are back in the region after many weeks away. However, it is said they appeared unexpectedly from thin air by the gates of Felbarr, Alyra weeping over the body of a fallen dwarf. Not much else is known, as the Knight Commander and Spellguard were ushered into Felbarr's gate with haste, and have not emerged since.

Rumor goes about that an elf dressed entirely in white, going by the name "Whitewolf" is seeking passage to Citadel Felbarr. She has been spotted in Silverymoon.

Rumours circulate along roadways between Rivermoot and Silverymoon and as far north as Wintersedge that a bandit mob is making travel very dangerous of late. The legion and KiS are recommending that no one travel alone and hiring of guards is strongly encouraged.
The general consensus seems to be that it is either an orc or half-orc led band of outlaws, but no official intelligence or wanted posters are forthcoming as yet.

The carcass of yet another large wyvern was disposed of by means of a huge pyre outside of Rivermoot. Locals say that a lone warrior cut down the beast in 4 strokes of his firey greatsword as it swooped down upon the gates of the village. However, the man was perhaps mortally wounded as the wyvern's stinger pierced his breastplate clean through. He was last seen be carried to the Tyrran Basilica.
Late in the evening, a contingent of five or so Knights in Silver came through the Moorgat with a wagon in tow. It is said this wagon was filled with grumbling, unpleasant men bound at the hands with rope, and a particularly irritable half-orc, the lot of them soon deposited at the North Bank Constabulary.

A recently deceased woman was found floating in the river a bit downstream of the docks. Foul play was suspected until the body was identified by two KiS by the names of Rolf and Sante. Apparently she had been lamenting the whereabouts of her husband who had been missing for quite some time, but had been told by the authorities there was little chance of finding his whereabouts as they had no clues. She had been seen that morning by the Mulgate begging and pleading with KiS soldiers for further help. It is now believed she took her own life.
