The new blood at the Lady's college had a bit of a 'hazing' when she was bold enough to take the necromancy class.
Someone apparently locked her in.
She was left there alone, with the strange moans of 'something else' inside, as she banged the door with ever greater fear in her voice.
Eventually she was let out, but rather pale. One wonders what the point of _this_ lesson was.

In more news of the college...
A few soft murmurs speak of a newly graduating student managing to construct an Iron Golem! traveling with the construct from Rauvinwatch Keep to High Hold and then vanishing.
Rumors state the gnome was speaking proudly of his creation, stating that his Golem will aid any in need of manual labor for a menial price.
Some common folks are in awe, while others who know some about the arcane claims this is complete folly and outrageous lies.
No official response word about said subject came from the Lady's College itself.

Citizens and members of the Argent Legion in Rivermoot are once again speaking openly with high regard about the group calling themselves Knights Draconis, as well as several adventurers that lent their efforts alongside them. Their latest deed of note on behalf of the settlement is rumored to be dispatching a dangerous and well equipped group of kobolds that had taken over the unused watchtower to the northwest; the kobolds reportedly were using the tactical advantage afforded by the tower along with archery to pose a serious threat.
The consensus is that their actions certainly resulted in the prevention of loss of life among Legion members and travelers. Some however grumble at the apparent reluctance and slowness of the Legion to organize and assemble their own effort quickly, and have been calling into question the leadership of the Sergeant in charge.
Rumors around Rivermoot also say these kobolds were nearly five feet tall (one fellow insists he heard they were as tall as ogres, but is ignored by most)...

Rumors around Silverymoon speak of the Griffon Caravan guards murmuring about needing extra capable hands to make a delivery to Sundabar for more coin than usual; apparently the last two groups of 'adventurer' types that attempted to make the delivery through Silverymoon Pass never arrived...

More rumors around the Marches:
Mother Erica of Silverymoon's Provider's Shrine is rumored to have been spotted in at various locales around the Gem, greeting most but specifically approaching hin citizens of the city for brief conversation, before smiling with a nod and moving on.
Word begins to spread that the hin priestess of Yondalla is organizing some sort of special celebration for the right sized folk of Silverymoon and beyond.
**************************************************************************************************************************
A somewhat scoundrelish looking halfling going by the name of Shax has been traveling throughout the Marches ranging from Rivermoot to Silverymoon; some even say he's made appearances as far as Settlestone and visited Felbarr and even Mithral Hall hawking his 'special wares'.
Some folks say not all of his visits have been warmly received, for whatever reason.
************************************************************************************************************************************
The caravan master of Griffon Caravans continues to advertise that they seek aid from folks willing to take potentially higher risks, in return for double pay for the usual deliveries.
((anyone that completes the deliveries screenie and pm me, I will add extra coin to the reward, but be warned there may be placed encounters as well as sneaky DMs logging in and rolling for random encounters and other stuff. Highly advise not soloing the Silverymoon Pass unless your PC is fairly tough, at least lvl 3 or 4))
*************************************************************************************************************************************
Lastly, there have been two confirmed sightings of a great winged and long tailed creature (or two separate ones) flying high above in the past tenday.
The first sighting is said to have been by the guards stationed at Hawk's Nest, with the creature flying at rapid speed towards the northeast. The second is said to be by those stationed in the high lookout stations of Fourthpeak's battlements; the flying creature was observed speeding from north to southeast.
Several of the guards at Hawk's Nest spoke grimly of a 'sense of deep dread' gripping their hearts at the mere sight of the creature they saw.

Re: Tavern Knowledge (III) - post your rumours and gossip he
Davaigny, the orcblood stationed at Fourthpeak's outpost, has been heard muttering sadly about a heavily armored man who came through sometime in the past few days.
"He was some sort of priest I figure, had holy symbols and that holy vibe that they carry sometimes. Even his plate armor looked kinda holy, though that could've just been the sunlight catchin' just so. Anyway, he heard about the troubles in the area from Miss Jye, and got all stern and grave looking, confidently said he'd take care of the situation and come right back. Donned his holy helm and walked away... ain't heard or seen from since."
"Whatever might've happened, wasn't no stray shambler or regular pack o' gnolls... I figure he wasn't a greenhorn by the looks and manners of him. Trouble is, he was alone... Got a bad feelin' Miss Jye unwittinging sent him to his death."
((placed encounter set, depending on random spawns in the area the difficulty may vary; recommend a party with at least 4 mid lvls. PM me details on group that takes this on for xp and loot))

Re: Tavern Knowledge (III) - post your rumours and gossip he
Davaigny does his best to recount the sad tale of the priest over the next few days and tendays to visitors.
"Umm... those guys... those Dragon Knight guys... they found 'im, too late though, priest of Torm I think? Dead as dead I guess, by gnolls. They said maybe one gnoll was a shaman. The big half orcish lookin' fella like me showed me the gnoll's head. Made me uh... a little nervous; it was real nasty looking even dead! Painted all blue and purple and stuff... matted sticky hair, blood and gore, the smell o' fresh blood... made me feel kinda... um... strange ... lookin' at it up so close, in the hands of the big fella. Donno why..."

Silverymoon rumors:
Rumors concerning the strange event at the Fochlucan continue to make their rounds at various establishments around the Gem...
Workers around the docks speak of the arrest of a halfling by one of the Knights in Silver...
The Gem's Constabulary seems to have been busy with various other matters recently, including reports of a number of fistfights breaking out amongst the dock workers, rumors of the disappearance of a constable, and some sort of incident involving spellcasting at The Bright Blade Brandished...

Re: Tavern Knowledge (III) - post your rumours and gossip he
The seasoned group of warriors were noticeably shaken as they returned to High Hold from the northern wilds. Although they reported that the raiding orcs had been eliminated, a greater threat was now present.
The word quickly spread through the ranks of guards and Legionnaires that a dragon, large and black, was roaming within close range of the Keep.

*A group of adventurers unexpectedly finds themselves defending the walls of High Hold from an assault by an orc host.*

*Despite the foul magicks of a Gruumsh worshiping shaman, the group saturates the ground with the blood of a dozen orcs.*

*The adventurers trace the orcs path north, and find themselves in a valley beneath the mountains. Here they slay a female giant, before themselves being hunted by a dark dragon. The party quickly doubles back to High Hold and reports the news. Afterwards, Rhone is seen making a fifth notch on her horned helm for the latest giant to fall before her blows.*

Rumors speak of a small caravan that passed through High Hold nearly a tenday ago being missing; the caravan was reportedly scheduled to arrive at the Gem several days ago...

In the early hours of the morning, over a hundred Knights in Silver accompanying horse-pulled wagons were seen to leave Silverymoon and head up the Pass. The company, lead by Commander Alyra Ironbeard, was said to have wagons filled to the brim with blankets, food, and other survival supplies.

Re: Tavern Knowledge (III) - post your rumours and gossip he
*Many settlements across the Marches begin to experience an upsurge in monster attacks.*

Re: Tavern Knowledge (III) - post your rumours and gossip he

*The harried defenders of Rivermoot are reinforced by fresh troops out of the holds east of the village. Intrepid adventurers now help the beleaguered defenders. Only time will tell what such evils have befallen the lands south of the bitter mountains.*
Re: Tavern Knowledge (III) - post your rumours and gossip he

*Groups of adventurers have reportedly driven off and mostly slain two orc clans in the hills above Rivermoot. The Argent Legion reinforcements are ordered back to the east as the threat has mostly diminished and Rivermoot seems capable of standing on it's own. Scouts still report higher than normal orc activity, but morale is high after the recent victories.*
(( still one final staged encounter in game. if i'm free i'll run it as a DM, otherwise, be warned it's not safe for Rivermoot newbies to solo. ))
