Discussed a few times in easy earshot of RM militia is speculation by local adventurers that the runed orc leading the horde is in fact a Velsharoon priest using illusion magic to trick both the orcs and us into believing he is an orc. Also easily overheard was discussion about whether an orc horde is for the purpose of delay so a lich can be released from the crypt, and the possibility that an orc attack would be for the purpose of making many dead bodies to turn into an undead army, which would then finish off whatever was left of Rivermoot after the main orc attack.

Sounds of cracking and splintering were heard when a large, heavily armoured figured attempted to row across the water in Rivermoot. The boat was noted breaking apart as it sloshed across, the rider was able to reach the shore safely before it sunk.

Loud talking and hollering could be heard from Yinvray's smithy during the night as someone appeared to be trying to convince her to allow him the use of her forge to help repair damaged weapons and to prepare large quantities of caltrops for use against the orc hordes. This arguement was witnessed by several passers-by, and consumed quite a bit of the early hours of the night.

A strapping blond man in the cloak of a member of the cojoined forces of Helm, Torm and the Red Knight can be seen gathering all manner of oddments and binding them together to form rough manequin-like figures. As each is finished, he binds it all together in a stout leather hide and attaches the construct to trees, empty barrels or poles pounded into the earth in a staggered formation on the bank of the river across from the dock in Rivermoot, near the ruined tower.

Well if it works on P'nP, it should work here... (26May2008 0755 AM Local)
Wolf howls were heard echoing around the pierside a day or so ago. No actual wolves (nor wolf tracks) were spotted but a pecular (and very dirty) leather clad halfling was seen wandering around the fort, the main road and one of the turnip plantations at the time...
Of course, the only clue to compare the occurances was that the hin wore a animal skin helm over her dark tan skin. Some local dwarves speculate the new comer as feral (thought when asked, they say she took some offered nuts with vigor) or even Ghostwise, far from remote Lurien.
Little more could be offered in description (Short. Dirty. twigs in her hai... wai... Did she HAVE Hair?) but since it's Nut Season in the Marches...
'Nee-ka smash?' 'ThanQue!'
<Gebb> ok, what does it mean to be "huggled"? <spidroth_esq> Something terrible. <Squamatus> buggered <Dran> sodomised <Squamatus> by an acorn on a stick <tresca> LOL <Gebb> that didn't help <alynn>

One of the Warriors of the Coijoint forces of Torm and Helm is rumored to be held in Rivermoot on charges of murder!!
A number of other adventures, some of whom have been making a respected name for themselves, are also wanted for questioning by the Argent legion.

"Right there on the steps! Slit his green throat and the blood poured out over his boots. The prisoner talked before he died, though. Some orc mob called the Blue Tusks are coming, arming in the hills, a hundred of 'em, a thousand! That group of civilians that wiped out the supply camp t'other night and burned down half the forest, I hear tell...the orcs are coming for them and for the town around them. Pack up the wagon, Bess. We're leaving."
Enjoy the game
