Angered by the piss-poor condition of the blatantly-overlogged Silverwood, Brier begins to replant and to tend to saplings and shrubs.
He pays careful attention to encourage species that the loggers seem to have shown no interest in, and to plant and tend to shrubs in such a manner to encourage city-slickers to stay on the road "where they belong."
He is not shy about verbally abusing anyone he catches cutting additional trees, pointing out the damage to the area's fertility caused by lack of healthy root systems, etcetera.
If confronted, he does not hesitate to get rude about it.

Re: Replanting the Silverwood
*the guard at the Silverwood Legion Post hands you the card to his Alchemist and suggests you invest in some fire or acid magic*
Re: Replanting the Silverwood
*nod*
Will pick up some troll protection while relying heavily upon his animal companion to provide warning in case of unusually stealthy trolls.
Also, tells the guard what he's doing and why, and that if they need fire to keep the trolls off, there are better ways to both protect the forest and to get the fire they need than to cut down all the slow-growing oaks. He offers to speak to the druids at the Great Oak in order to find a solution (they trained him, after all, and while HE can't accelerate plant growth, he knows that THEY can), and will himself take off down the road to both the Glade and the Oak to get advice -- maybe he can come up with some sort of sustainable source for strong acid that might work... giant ants or something, maybe.
Since the guards are out there risking their butts to keep the trolls at bay, he's VERY polite with them.

Re: Replanting the Silverwood
*On one of his random 'walks' in the Silverwood, Leif comes across a familiar figure in the distance. Approaching silently until he is sure the figure is what he suspects it is, he steps out of the bushes and gives a grin and a wave.*
Afternoon there Brier!
*Takes pause as Brier's friend seems to become suddenly on edge and quickly pulls a vial from his belt and breaks it over his now-drawn longblade.*
Just a moment!
*Dashes off, wearing little more than a simple leather shirt, and proceeds to promptly decapitate the overzealous troll with his now-flaming longblade. Flicking his blade clean of troll blood, he trots back to Brier.*
Now where were we.. oh yes! Care for some help planting things out here?
*Flashes a bit of a grin as he spins his blade over his shoulder and slings his shield.*

*hands Leif a pinecone and a withering look, and waits for him to figure it out*
