{OOC, I posted this last week sometime, I thought, but it isn't here now, so reposting. Assume an OOC date of last week for the below.}

Word trickles out from Legion outposts by the wagging tongues of charwomen and off-duty soldiers that the persons Madeleine Bourgoise, Ian Greycloak, Mirela Do'Ravn and the woman known only as Holly are thought to have escaped the Silver Marches, either separately or together. Apparently the bounties for them have been suspended, as it is considered a state or Legion matter now, not one for mercenaries. No bounty will be paid to any mercenary, whether or not the fugitives are confirmed to have crossed outside of the Federation, nor will any military personnel be issued orders to pursue any of the above singly or in the company of hired mercenaries. All such orders in effect have been rescinded and are no longer valid.

Further to the recent off-duty gossip about Madeleine Bourgoise, Ian Greycloak, Mirela Do'Ravn and Holly, it is said that the woman Do'Ravn was apprehended and brought to Rauvenwatch for questioning. A Helmite priest known for his previous assistance in questioning suspects under the scrutiny of Helm's Truth was seen entering the Keep soon after. It is not known what put the sour look on the good Helmite's face upon his departure some time later, but it is spread about that Mistress Do'Ravn was escorted to Silverymoon under guard...but not under arrest. Barely had the tongues time to cease wagging on this account than they received fresh fodder: the Do'Ravn woman has apparently escaped Silverymoon...and word has it that Lieutenant Treyer was heard to shout from Rauvenwatch to Silverymoon Pass about 'foolish intellectuals who don't recognize a protection detail when under one!'

No update to the currently 'Suspended' status of previous bounties has leaked out. The arrest warrant for all four of those named in a previous bounty has not been re-instated, nor has any officer or mercenary been detailed to pursuit. Quite to the contrary, Treyer has been heard to remark that he'll have "the brass of any one interfering in this further while we try to get it under control!"

((So basically no one is wanted, not even Mirela? I ask from the perspective of a Legion member))

((The Legion, after the Queavar incident and other simliar undesirable encounters with low-life bounty hunters decided that the risk is too great to trust the general populance with affairs best handled by professionals. Legion members are strong encouranged to consult their superiors for further instructions.))

*Seeing as how the Rivermoot garrison has not recently received updates on the situation thanks to the floodings and monster upheavals keeping everyone busy, Lester travels all the way to the Rauvinwatch Keep on its behalf. As he crosses its threshold, dripping wet and panting in exhaustion, Gareth regards him with a quizzical look. Lester takes off his helmet, smiling warmly*

"Top o' the morning to you, sir. I trust you've been well. I've come here on behalf of the Rivermoot detail. It seems there was a measure of confusion over those rewards, and we'd like to be clear on the status of our orders regarding a certain Ian Greybeard, a certain Madeleine, a certain 'Holly', and, finally, a certain Mirela Do'Ravn. I would also like to report, if I may, that Fourthpeak is under heavy assault by the walking dead, and its commander has expressed the desire for a sturdy gate."

The Lizardkin of the Southern Moonwood know oas the Onyx Pool Tribe have forged a treaty with the Druid Circles of the Marches. As they always have, they promise to stay within their caverns and their waterfall. All beings under the law of lands must AVOID interactions with them at all costs.

Those caught disturbing this vital accord will be dealt with according to Argent Legion policy and code.

Word has rung out through the Posts of the Argent Legion that Queavar has fallen to the Malar in a bloody slaughter. Due to the heavy occupation Lycans and Malar Druids, the area is considered OFF-LIMITS to non-military personnel till further notice.

It must be repeated, DO NOT enter Queavar directly from either southern road. The Malar have posted guards and are currently razing the town to the ground with massive fires as well as burning the logged land that seperated it from the Moonwood.

Sgt. Bearpaw after dragging himself to High Hold, has returend with a strike force of sturdy scouts and archers and has not been heard from since.

A reward has been put out as well for information on Lycan sightings in the area of Khelb. Legion forces have been sent to fortify Khelb while it is unknown the state of things in the unconfedrated villages of Settlestone and Winter's Edge.

The Legion desires that all herbalist turn in their stocks of Belladonna to their local posts and prices will be paid to those that can supply the legion with the needed remedy.

Meanwhile irregulars are desired for related missions at High Hold. Please report to Battlepriest Severan for more information.

Some word has trickled down that Queavar has been retaken due to a multi-faction effort.

However casualties were great and many lie dead. Thanks to the many warnings some were spared but all commerce in the town has been destroyed except for the stone buildings of the legion and Master Moncrief's Logging Offices.

To this effect craftsmen and stonemasons are being sought to fortify the town of Queavar and rebuild it. Master Moncrief has willinging stepped up to house the refuges. supply the Legion's Foward Camp, as well as restore the village.

All Legion Agents deployed will remain in the Foward Camp till further notice in case of additional threats and incursions to the southern roads.

In the last two weeks the bodies of two males were delivered unto the Legion by frontier scouts and allies of the Legion.

Ian Greybead was delivered dead by the honorable Garlus Ironbeard to the Spellguard. Reportedly he was subdued and was being brought in alive when he was caught in a fire aimed at his ally and subsequently killed. His ally, the trader-Hin, known as Barrin, attacked Garlus at this time. Spellguard Necromancers have concluded that he was a powerful priest responsbile for raising numerous undead and carrying a fetish marking him as a worshiper of Velsharoon.

Barrin, a well-known trader and contractor of the Agent Legion was also reported dead by the Ranger Sywyn, a contracted scout of the Legion. The Spellguard has also determined evidence that Barrin too was a powerful secret worshiper of Velsharoon and responsible for raising the dead as undead.

Currently the Spellguard still seeks the mage known as Madeline and her bodyguard for questioning and strongly encourages all Legion Posts and our affliated agents, do not attempt to bring her in by force if she is seen. Please contact the Spellguard only if you spot the woman we have previously described via messenger hawk.

We thank the our allies for removing this threat to peace and prosperity from the Marches.
