trouble installing nwn2

I'm trying to install nwn2 onto an xp lap top. I thought there was only one dvd with the original game, but when I insert the disk the prompt says "wrong disk, please insert disk one". This is an original disk from the box. Were there two disks in the original game or am I having an issue with the install?
Thanks

That very thing happened to me once...Curm and hollyfant know the fix.
You've got your disk code numbers in the wrong slots. You have to shift them about in the NWN2 folder so they match properly with your actual disks...but I can't tell you how, heh.
Curm or hf will see this soon and get you sorted

How far did you get, and what is the exact error message?
There's a problem with the SoZ and MotB serial numbers being switched in some manuals. But "wrong disk" sounds more like a DRM issue.

Much as I appreciate JLM's confidence in me, I can't remember a situation like this. Is this a clean install, or had NWN2 been installed on the machine before?

clean install. Only oddity might be that I'm trying to install on xp within virtual box. I've installed other software and the disk shouldn't know the difference. It's as if I'm putting the wrong disk in or something, but it's my NWN2 disk from the first game.

my original nwn2 game came with like 6 disks, if that helps any.

Then it's most likely a SecuROM issue, as DRM can be quite finicky. If it's legal at your end you may want to try and install a "cracked" game - even if only to see if that does work.
