Just being sure...

Post by ewayneself »

Outside of Bootcamp, Mac users are SOL right now because there's no MoB expansion for Mac.

Is this correct?

To any who've been missing me, I have been in school. But that wasn't the worst of it. The worst of it is that I ran over my laptop. With a truck. So no Windows machine. Only Mac right now.

I'm hoping to get on this summer and play, but I'll have to come up with a PC or something...

Hey, good to see you are still about. Sad to hear about the lappy. Just so you know , there are a few more DM's about now so when you do come back, you wont be so rushed off your feet.

Dare I ask how you managed to run a truck over a laptop? Seems quite a feat.

Mac users are indeed required to pay the "microsoft tax" before they can play. No OS X versions of the extensions are planned. Isn't Boot Camp an option on your regular machine?

The laptop....

I've been commuting each day across the Bay Area to Berkeley for my schoolin'.

Since I'm there practically all day late into the evening, I have to carry a lot of stuff: Books, plus gym, plus various sundries, plus laptop, etc.

So I had a system: carry a duffle bag large enough to contain a midget, and inside that bag, have other smaller bags for 'away team missions'...gym bag, laptop bag, etc.

I was in a rush and forgot to zip the duffle. As I was getting into my truck, the laptop bag slipped out and slid under the wheel of the truck.

I got in and backed out of the parking spot. It felt like I was backing up a ramp. So I got out to see what it was.

The laptop had landed with the power cord down, so it made a little ramp.

The laptop still turned on, but the screen was ruined. It was bent, not broken, and looked like it belonged to Salvador Dali.

The parking attendant had nothing but pity for me. But all I could do was laugh, even though, gads, what a waste!

If it's just the screen, why not hook up a monitor to the carcass?
