About a month ago one of my gaming machines just stopped giving any audio at all.
In my control panel I see "no audio devcie"
I opened up the box just to see if anything had come loose ...but don't anything.
Diagnosis?

Do you have onboard sound card or a slot device?

I don't know what that means ---- a little piece of flat metal that screws into the back of the inside of my computer tower

No offense intended, but you might want to have a knowledgeable person look at it
I'd normally recommend software first (try reinstalling the drivers), and if it still doesnt show try reseating the sound card, or possibly moving to a different slot... however if you're not familiar with computer hardware and expansion cards, might be good to ask a friend to show you how its done.
