Trouble logging into mIRC

To the best of my knowledge no changes to my system.
But currently getting the notice:
"Connecting irc.sorcery.net
Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)"
anyone else having trouble..something wrong on my end?

Sounds like you're in a place that blocks those ports.

I'm on my Verizon wi-fi card.
Never had any touble before....have been using it for months without problem until now.
