New Player tech help

I have run into a few tech problems, and I hope to work them out, but can someone tell me if the Baldur's Game server is running? I have been able to connect with the Silver marches, but i was not able to connect with BG. I have had a few scary file problems, I may still have them but I have loaded both expansions and run the worldgate updater, and loaded the latest patch. So, right now I am at a loss. I may have had a bad download of SoZ, because I have seen the patcher give me an error about a missing batch of files, but I pushed the update through, and i worked, so i am hoping it fixed itself. I would rather try to see if there was anything else wrong before I tryed to reinstall SoZ... if anyone has any advice I will need it, Thank you.

The BG server is running, there are 6-7 people on there right now... you can look in the top left corner just under the A Land Far Away icon, there should be a count of the people on the servers... hover over Baldurs Gate and it should show you who's logged on.

Are you getting an error when you try to connect to BG, if so, what error?

You should not need to run WorldGate - with the advent of the 1.23 update to the game, the Autodownloader (ADL) has pretty much eliminated our use of WorldGate. The files that WorldGate will get you may not be the most current versions.

If you updated your NWN2 installation very recently, like today, you may actually have gotten a version that we have not yet converted to - there was a minor fix to 1.23 that was released today. We should have both TSM and BG patched to this latest version shortly.

If you can access the IRC chat channels, /join #alandfaraway and ask for help in there. You may usually find a friendly hand there.
