A Land Far Away

This coming Friday I will not be available until 5 PM ish Pacific Time (I work from 0600-1600).

I will be unable to attend this Friday. My grandmother passed away suddenly and I had to go out of town. My apologies.

Just an FYI, between my RL getting busier/RL priority changes and how things look to be shaping up, I think Aglaril's part in this adventure might soon have to be concluded, or at least suspended indefinitely.

ICly as well, most of his initial reason/goals for coming down with the group have been met, and after some discussion with Jmecha about the likely direction things might take, it's unlikely that it'll make sense for Aglaril to stay down long term; in fact at some point it's going to go completely against his duties as a Bladesinger to remain down below while putting off <meta> business elsewhere. The only thing that might keep him down a bit longer (barring getting locked up AGAIN or hearing about a bunch of elven slaves or such) is ironically, concern for Layla of all people, which is an interesting fruit of some very enjoyable interactions with Mikayla's PC.

I was initially concerned that the departure of the highest lvl PC might screw over the group, but I'm pretty sure at this point that's not going to be the case. Of course, one never knows what might happen, this is ALFA still and Aglaril could be dead before he ever leaves the UD. Regardless of what comes, major kudos and appreciation to the players involved and to SF for agreeing to DM the group.

Seriously though, Layla's whole view of the mission is likely to change if Ag bails - Ag is the big elf-laird-hero-guy-slaying-nasty-monsters dude, while the rest of the party are just .. you know .. people.

First the obvious: condolences to SSM, hadn't noticed the sad news and would've said so in IRC if I had.

Anyhow, I am not part of this group, but if you're possibly having an adjustment in the "cast of characters", I might be able to make the odd Friday, such as tomorrow for instance.

The proposed character would be Bamshogbo of Mezro, known to Argos Klax at least. If seeking plausible IC excuses, the RP spell Sending is something Bam'd do from time to time with his long term "hunting band" (Q: Where you at? A: KNOW that I stalk the Enemy near location XYZ, as ought you.)

I don't know what'd be an opportunity to integrate, Bam is not the kind of character who'd just solo to Barrenrock or Sshammath for instance (metagaming anyhow to just take the route I know through other PC, Rhaggot). Maybe it's "wait til they surface and go back down with", maybe it's hitch a ride on some rare svirf caravan, maybe it's get kidnapped like a princess and hope that party happens to rescue.

EDIT / PS: Bam is a healer.

Indeed, it would be good to know - I guess the important thing I want to know is whether Argos can/will be there. If you can't make it because of family stuff JMecha, that is totally cool, I would just like to know so I can work on extracting Layla from the dark. Thanks!
