Announcement Regarding Placed Encounters

If I place an encounter somewhere on the server and post a rumor pertaining to said encounter, I try to indicate for which levels it is appropriate. When I do so, I would ask that higher level PCs don't intentionally hunt down that encounter and wade through it. It is one thing if you happen upon the encounter through random chance, but I think it is reasonable to think if one has read the rumor that it is not random chance that carried you there.

I try to place encounters suitable for parties of characters of specific levels. Sometimes I am off in my estimation of who can handle the encounter, but one PC five levels higher is never the intended audience. I try to place higher level encounters periodically. That is the highbies' time to shine (or die.) Similarly, lowbies that tag along on high level encounters do so at their own risk.

Some encounters for mid and high level PCs (the CRs for whom are more difficult to approximate) are going to be very dangerous and may require falling back and regrouping or changing tactics altogether. I will not intentionally overpower low levels, but I expect more experienced PCs to know when they are outmatched. You have been warned.

If an encounter goes several days without being dealt with, then I will either bump it or remove it. Don't worry, another one will be just around the corner.

Also, if I ask that someone PM me after an encounter is handled to let me know, I expect to receive one. There may be rewards and/or ramifications for completing the task.
