Euro DMing to come in Feb
So I'm looking forward to pick up the ol' DM screen again, this time on BG. In this thread I hope to scope out the player field as I've been away for quite a while. (Getting married and stuff.)
So long story short(ish):
What: A weekly gaming session, trying to be as steady with timeslot as possible, can't promise 100%, but will strive to 75%.
When: One Euro evening a week. Thinking about Monday currently. (around 18-23 CET) Start on 2nd week of Feb.
How does this concern you: If you're interested in joining up, please raise your hand. It would be great if I knew the PCs I'm looking at, and could plan some ahead.

pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.

You do know I am not made out of LEGO, right? Hands simply don't reattach themselves just like that...

What time is that EST? I'd be interested in bringing Zyrus to the table, if you don't mind mid level PCs.
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd
Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"

Re: Euro DMing to come in Feb
This sounds very tempting...
Tuesdays would fit me better, but I could try to negotiate Mondays with the boss at home.
The kid is usually in bed by 8pm gmt+1, so I would have a hard time making anything earlier than that.
What levels and stuff are we talking?

Levels, and to an extent stuff, depends on who's there. I think I am at my best with low-to-mid level low(ish) magic and fantasy content, so if I get a choice that is more likely. If I don't I'll do my best with who's there.
I hope everyone so far raising has a PC bio posted so I can take a look. Also if you think you could be a regular, I'd much like to know what are the current aspirations and plans of your PC. If you think your bio could be added on in this respect, please PM me (and tell whether it's for me only or a bio addendum). ADD: I could only find Boom and Puny on searching the bio dump, and looks like these could be well out of date, too.
My DM style has been to try to "tailor" events so that each raises from and clearly forwards the story of one PC, with other PCs going along as much as possible. And then next week hopefully the next PC is center stage. The pipe dream would be to have a group so that more than one PC could be equally center, but given PW realities, I'll be happy if I can just get one at a time. Which means the more I know of your PC, the more likely I can give your PC just the chance he's been looking for.
CET means Central European Time, i.e. gmt+1 with European Daylight Savings. (I'm at EET, which is CET+1 myself)

Re: Euro DMing to come in Feb
My bio should in there. CD has seen it, so you might want to ask her about it.
As it is, I might work on an update to it to reflect Zyrus' experiences on the surface.

Re: Euro DMing to come in Feb
Announced time drawing near. First session will be on Feb 11, unless a force majoure happens. Speaking of which, two days ago my gaming rig died, but I will pick up a new one today. I should have the time to bring it up to speed before Monday. (What I had setup for buildwork might take longer to re-establish though, because I've pretty much forgotten how all the github and server connection things were done...)
So long story short, Euro players please join me come next Monday!
