Possible quest bug

I was doing some of the quests from the guard house in BG. Specifically "Sweeping
the streets". I found the NPC villain spawn point and he spawned, then ran straight
to the guards and got killed by them.

It didn't give me a completion notice and the Captain acts like the quest is not done.

I waited a bit and went back to the location to see if there was a respawn but so
far there has not been.

Yeah if this happens you need to wait for a server restart for it to be do-able again.
