As I'm here primarily as a builder/scripter I have posted a number of options I see to extend/expand the server in the DM forum, and wont go into too many details as they contain server specific data.

However I would like to gauge to opinion of the player base to further discussion of these ideas amongst the DMs.

The main ideas are as follows:
A:Expansion of the playing area (not the area depicited) of the server. That is to say an increase in the available areas in which to play, an increase in the distance between two points on the map and a diversification in the terrain available.

B:Adding more ambient content. NPCs and/or creatures which are not hostile or combat oriented to add "mobile eye candy" to the module. Commoners, Non-adventurers, wildlife, etc.

C:Limited but useable underdark areas, consisting mainly of near surface dungeons/cave systems extending down to the upper dark initially. As per canon for the region these would be several physically separated areas linked possibly by portals rather than a web of tunnels, caverns and caves.

Please post your comments, and understand nothing is promised or decided as yet, these are simply ideas I am working on in order to come up with a building schecdule and will come after I have fixed any outstanding bugs in the extant mod.

I have been working on suggestion A myself. You can check that out in the "Coming soon" thread

A retooling of all the server zones on the way out to Ulgoths Beard is needed badly. Vendrin was going to get on it but has said that he does not have all the time he would like

Some deep caves would be nice too, but the ones we currently have are empty. Maybe some spawns to make it more active like the other server. There is easy-to-find adventure ready for players on The Silver Marches, goblins and gnolls with loot, while we have giant spiders and wolves

A few repeatable statics would be a boon as well, very few choices for employment currently

I would vote against "eye-candy" NPC's and non-interactive animals...fom what I understand (which admittedly isn't much), these things use lots of memory that could better be used on any of the other suggestions.

Players can use their imaginations (and DM's can drop temporary candy) to fill in the non-usable/interactives.

I would vote against "eye-candy" NPC's and non-interactive animals...fom what I understand (which admittedly isn't much), these things use lots of memory that could better be used on any of the other suggestions.
Only if they are running full AI scripts, these wouldn't so that impact should be very minimal, though there would still be a small impact.

i would second jlm, duncan, and thinkpig

and if you could fix the side door of the bath house and make it so one could sit on the roof once more i would love you forever... or at least a week

I've actually got the town redone, working on the path now.

As for additions Sand, please please add some life to the towns and BG. It's like walking through a ghost city.

I'm going to run through bug fixing this week and probably next as well, hopefully content addition can begin after that.

statics as well as hostile/non-hostile spawns in all the empty places(caves/wilderness/off the path/etc.)
