Brother Humphrey

The Flaming Fist guards are conspicuous in their absence. Please bring 'em back. I want witne... i mean, there aught to be someone guarding the market and docks, right?
Guards never present on docks in the first place. Asking for something to be added back that wasn’t there to begin with.

Locked chests coming back / getting loot back? (or are rogues again getting the useless shaft)

looks like someone replaced our loot scripts with tsms loot scripts so... rogues will be as useful as they are on tsm. :D

SOMEBODY seems to have replaced our perfectly balanced and functioning scripts for loot and merchants to those of tsm. while as i understand it SOMEBODY had admin decide for them that all merchants should be the same i did not hear that all the loot scripts and drop rates and herb/chest spawns needed to be uniform. SOMEBODY went a step beyond and took out specialty scripts for merchants and priests and replaced them with tsms standard scripts. now i would be the first one to ignore ayergo if he were lit on fire in front of me, but he did have it right when he planned out the economy of bg, and no doubt put alot of work into research and planning. while at first his system kind of suck 1 or 2 gold for rusty axes or whatnot, there were high points. you could find some real treasure and sell it for real gold. now the average adventurer can get rich off a couple rusty swords. while that may work on other servers i would like to point out in case noone else has...BG IS NOT OTHER SERVERS... dont get me wrong i am not against characters becomming wealthy but really how many merchants in town are going to waste gold on used rusty swords some adventurer brings up out of some hole?

You have no idea what you are talking about here muse.

(a) The Admin decided nothing of the sort, with regards specifically to BG.

(b) It was decided by the current DMs and Builders. And as far as I am concerned, the current DM and Builders have a hundred times more right to decide how the BG economy works than a DM from the past has.

My conclusion: What you 'understand' is complete bullshit.

Your other claims are a matter of preference, so I'm not going to say you're wrong there (as I agree with a few). But trying to turn this into a big conspiracy of the Admin plotting to ruin all ayergo's hard work is truly pathetic.

[Edit] An why is this in the Bug thread?

current dms and builders... any of them happen to be bg dms and builders? i know the builder for the bulk of the update was less then thrilled. and i wonder how the hdm voted as he was/is in the process of moving and all incommunicado like. but see i wasnt thinking all conspiratory like.

wow rot way to make a player feel welcome and valued as part of the community. i thought you had a better handle on your contempt for me.

you know what is pathetic rot... arguing abut this. see i read through the forums i see players who are unhappy with SOMEONE who took it upon THEIR self <thats not plural, cause i didnt think it was admin conspiring, i thought i was clear when i said someone went to admin and got them to do their bidding.> to change the whole economy and functionallity of the server. and in the process wreck the spawning, loot, merchants, dungeons, and the only thing close to static quests that the server has. that rot, is why i am posting in the bug forum. because surely this is a bug. and i havent even started complaining about my personal issues with this, like arbitrally losing 20% of my toons wealth because i bothered to rp buying gems as opposed to carrying around thousands of coins. thus losing value because SOMEONE knocked the gem dealers buyback down 20%. it isnt about poor ayergos hard work, gods know i am not his cheerleader. but the guy got it right it was working just fine. and maybe if SOMEBODY bothered to mingle with the plebs on a player lvl they would have seen for THEIR self before wrecking what didnt need fixing.

SOMEBODY consulted DMA and HDM of BG on every single change. :D

*Goes back to writing flocking scripts to put before Admin as a proposal to add to ACR to return wandering monsters to both servers
Enjoy the game

There is no conspiracy. The BG DM team was made aware of and approved all changes. We just had a big update though, so please continue to post what you beleive to be bugs.

However, I want to remind everyone to keep the tone on the ALFA boards civil. Please refrain from unnecessarily inflammatory rhetoric on the BG boards. We are all volunteers here, and frankly, it kills my motivation to read. If anyone has a complaint to make, it can be made in the appropriate forum. Thanks.

For those players experiencing vault issues with their saved PC version, please contact someone with vault access via PM or IRC (i.e. AL, Curm or Zic) as I am told they can address this issue.

Bently of the Friendly Arms Inn has conversation options to talk about renting a room, but he does not actually sell ant room keys.

The Helm and Cloak Host does not sell room keys.

The Horses in the East Gate area just outside the Merchant's League appear to be cloning themselves upon entry into the area.

I thought inn keys were persistent, to prevent two people hiring the same room at once. Could it just be that someone already is in all the current rooms?
