Thanks for posting. I forgot to mention that I got it back going. Pesky remote vault mount scripts...

BG down and back up for several updates.

Cloakwood areas are still a redesign work in progress. (Goblins are temporarily disabled as a work in progress.)

An absolutely massive update (in terms of work done, not file-size to download) has been completed.

The Cloakwood and specifically the Cloakwood goblins have been overhauled significantly.

I encourage players to explore the new areas carefully as the types of creatures encountered, the places you encounter them, and the danger that they pose may be quite a bit different than you previously saw. You have been warned.

Though players may not notice it, walkmesh improvements have been made on nearly every exterior area. A less linear feel to the tradeway should be noticeable, and you can now walk through Beregost without being stopped by random cobblestones. :)

Line of sight improvements have been made in the goblin caves. (Now those pillars and big rock piles actually do block line of sight, for better or for worse!) Line of sight improvements are intended for other caves soon, to prevent goblins from shooting you through walls (among other things.)

Can't wait to play and check out the new stuff. Thanks to all of you who have been putting effort into these updates, much appreciated!

I can play in June, so almost there... Probably roll a ranger and go scouting. 8)

During DL of update I get repeated error messages stating that certain Cloakwood.trx files cannot be downloaded. Told to contact server admin.

Looks like the server had an ADL file changed that won't fix until the next server reboot.

Zelknolf is working to put up a working file in the mean time.

Getting LoS right in complex areas is a really tedious task, and one often overlooked when building because it lacks the "oohhh pretty!" factor. Unfortunately its necessary for proper combat without a zillion tech rezes. Kudos for this.

Thank you, and you are welcome.

In other news, BG is having some serious stability issues. I am working with Foam on them.

I have discovered the cause (or a cause) of the recent BG crashes and corrected the problem.

I apologize for the frustration during the DM event, and I look forward to rescheduling it with the four players involved as soon as the timing works out. We'll pick up where we left off.

Thankfully, BG should be stable again. If anyone experiences any server crashes, please let me know via IRC or the forums.

No need to apologize.... thanks for the time. We'll gather up our resolve again and have another go sometime soon.
