All statics were reset recently, so everyone could to the one-time quests again. Is that perhaps what happened to you?
Baldur's Gate Shops - the mail NPC (I forgot his name) has vanished.
the randomly spawning "Merchant" no longer opens her store.
Outskirts of the Wood of Sharp Teeth - there's a spawining point near the transition to the Sharp Teeth itself, that spawns Amnian soldiers and merchants. Monsters or wild animals would have been more appropriate.

AMEN to that...
On a different note, I got the ok from Paazin to try and organize our Bug thread better for tracking. As soon as I get a few more builds complete in the toolset, I will begin working on chronicling all of Holly's bug findings...

quite astute... you get paid by the person who gives you the job. sort of like i don't pay my mailman when he brings me junkmail...
On a separate but related note, folks should know that the mailman jobs are not persistent across server resets. Therefore, if you make your delivery, make sure you return to BG and get paid. If you log, there may be an update (which it seems like Paaz is doing about every seven hours ) and you will lose that job altogether.

Not a bug, just an FYI.
Actually, now they should be.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.
There was a mushroom that was hovering in the air on the east side of the Friendly Arm inn. I was clickable, but it did not put a mushroom in my inventory, nor did it disappear when I clicked it...instead, it opened a storage window. So I smashed it with my axe. Then, when I came back to the area for a subsequent visit, I noticed it was back so I smashed it again.

once again - feature not a bug... not sure about the hovering part, but if your character can't tell one kind of mushroom apart from another (skill checks) clicking on it will open empty inventory, and the mushroom will remain until skilled picker comes along...

Nah, it was a floating magpie mushroom which I have no problem picking (unless the floating version requires a great amount of skill that the land based version).

Not so much a bug as a suggestion... It'd be good if the clay golem outside the wizard tower thing had a conversation to describe what it's do standing around on the road... something like [This clay construct ignores you and continues to tend to the hedge]. Otherwise, it's kind of random having a golem hanging out by the side of the road.

I think it's a "survival" based static.
Not locked yet so ........ IBTL!
and I won't mind straying a bit OT...
How does one go about picking a Mushroom? Is there a DC check? Is it the same for bat quano? I seem to be consistently unsuccessful (at 4 ranks and 6 ranks enhanced). IIRC back at launch of BG live this static check was based on allocated skill points (as opposed to ranks).
