That's great, but just walking through the cities, I think some prices need to be changed still, specifically buy back. 8 gold for a heavy crossbow that sells for what, 170? 6 for a greatsword that sells for 120? At least give us a decent price for this.

i think one thing uterly helpfull would be explanation of "intended" pricing. i've heard wildly different stories, including from two players (not new ones either) on the same day - one that lita's buyback rate is totally bugged and exploit, from another that it is as intended.... same goes for 1600gp antidote or 170gp cure light wounds. (last one goes for sale prices which vary by doubling the amount between different merchants.)

one explanation i've heard - that the intent is make buyback of everything but gems meaningless. that might work on isolated island... wouldn't such create ic demand for traveling merchants to pop up all over the place, ferrying goods between bg and tsm? would seem only reasonable to me.

One of those would be me I think - and it turned out to be misinformation.
In my defence, another merchant seems currently as broken and exploitable as ever...

I have no issue with the buy-back rates.

Not really.

I guess I have just had to deal with surplus stores and selling excess military equipment to them. These guys have bins of the stuff; it's not like they really need more. So, you sell for maybe a fifth of what you buy for. Or, you get some store credit for a quarter or a third of what you buy for. It's generally not a great deal for the person who brings the stuff in. So, from experience, I see the situation as pretty normal.

Now, here is another bug however. I obtained a heavy crossbow. Later on, I noticed I had two heavy crossbows--I didn't know whether I picked one up off a corpse or not during some adventuring, but I was flirting with encumberance threshold and was eager to be rid of 8 lbs. I sold one for 7GP. The other was not equippable for some reason. Neither is it droppable or sellable. I had to buy the heavy crossbow that I sold back for 110GP to recover my character's ranged attack capability. I'd like to get that 107GP back if possible.

That's a known nwn2 bug, items seemingly getting duplicated in your inventory, only to find out the duped copy is actually not really there.

Please only use this thread for reporting bugs. There is no need to make duplicate posts in multiple threads. If you need help with the vault, my advice is to contact AcadiusLost or Zicada via IRC or a PM.

Hit by a large wave and took damage and all the penalties while not in the water. This happened in the upper part of the smugglers cave on the shore in the cloakwood and not in the lower area where the water is. This happened and one second later the server crashed. not sure if they are related :chin:

Lita in Lita's equipment will not buy rings, even though she sells them.

Maybe your ring is old, out of date and out of fashoin and Lita knows she will have trouble ever getting it out of the jewelrycase again once she buys it from you and puts it in.

Or maybe she bought an overstock of the particular ring you have and is not willing to invest further in such a ring until her previous stock is bought up.

Or maybe its the fact that you come marching into her store with Black armor, a baby's skull hanging off your belt and fresh brain matter dragging from your boot like toilet paper.

In all seriousness though, we have Wynna, Heegz, Acadius, Rot, Zic...all helping out when they can with bugs. We try to zap them as soon as we can but, as you know things are stretched thin. We'll add it to the pile of things to fix. On that note, if anyone wants to apply for a tech. spot for BG; let me know in a private tell.
