Re: Bug Report 2.04

My character suffered a -1 to Str from a minor negative energy trap in a BRM event yesterday. Since then I have rested multiple times and had several days pass in game while logged off. Nothing seems to be restoring the lost point of Str. After I finish resting I am not getting any messages in my combat text window about Fort saves or anything, so if there is suppose to be a check for restoration over time I am not seeing it.

Tonight NPCs in few zones turned hostile to my PC for apparently unknown reasons, according to BRM. Probably to other PCs too. It seems like some faction mess.

I had asked Stefan to report these hostile factions he reported to me while i attempted to fix the problem (thanks). Allow me to elaborate for everyone else though. In certain zones it looks like Flaming Fist Mercenaries, Merchants and commoners are showing as hostile to the players. For those who are in BG fear not, they are not attacking. After manually changing their factions with the DM tool i was able to fix it however, its worth looking into. Safe to play though!

Those you manually fixed for me, are fixed, but in other zones NPCs are still hostile to my PC. Like in Helm&Cloak inn, for example. Re-logging to the server didn't help either. As for NPCs are hostile but not attacking, I suspect some of them are not scripted to attack at all. It may be different with the guards.

I have no clue what did just happen. I just know that I left marketplace shortly before FF guards turned hostile for my PC. If Ashan stayed at the market just a little longer, armorless as he was... uhm... that would have been... interesting ;)

I'm getting the hostile NPC thing too. They do attack. Almost died at the hands of miserable Thayans at the enclave or maybe they just know a good slave when they see it.
Both start merchant and some others were hostile.

The easiest fix would be a server reset. If someone could ask for one on IRC please... I cannot access from work.

I got a message saying something about being damaged by the water, and consequently lost 9 hp, when I was in the area Sea Caves. There's no water in there, though.

Also, wolves give no xp.

There may be an issue with spawn timing in the module. err i cant recall the name of the area but

turn right outside of the east gate and follow the coastline , through one area and into the next.

Here will be a huge hilly landscape, and on the far end of it (behind the cave opening) there is a spawn point which sometimes respawns *right* after something has been killed.

In my case I killed a wolf only to have three of them dropped on top of me.

Can help with pointing out the area if needed, and I think this is not the first time, I recall the smae thing happening before in the exact same spot, but I didn't think of it back then since I survived...

I don't know if this is a bug or not. I selected War Domain which for Kelemvor ought to give weapon focus Bastard Sword. I do in fact have the exotic weapons specialization and the weapon focus bastard sword. But, in the log-on shop, the bastard sword was red and not buyable.

You also need the Martial Weapon feat.

According to the listed domains on the website, you shouldn't be taking war domain for Kelemvor in the first place. Unless that needs updating.

But yes, due to the fact that bastard swords can be used two handed with just martial, you need both feats.
No one in this world can you trust. Not men, not women, not beasts.
[Points to the sword.]
But this...this you can trust.
