To clarify, we're talking about STATIC crafting, hence the title of this thread.
Anyone who's ever tried to do a static crafting system in ALFA has been forcibly removed from ALFA. I'm not going that route.

But admittedly there is much more server to explore than what mine has seen so far, so pardon me if I post in ignorance and I'll quit while I'm behind here
1) Statics are not solo content and are not intended to be. Statics are for groups. If you want to play alone, play the single player campaign.
2) Bard actually does have a static you can do alone up to level 5 with very minimal risk. For your particular character there are at least 2 dungeons you could easily sneak through to find useful spell components (not to be confused with herbs).
3) If you want a generic type static try diving. Rogues won't be able to stay in as long, but being unseen by the denizens of the ocean is sure handy. I know its why i'm considering buying a camo-wetsuit. Spot is sure handy out there too, as are reflex saves.

Dan,
They are in the module, but the shoes were the only items that were not added to the merchant inventory. Basically someone just needs to add all the shoes to the merchant shop, but I have no idea who that person will be, or when it is going to happen.
