Hello all. Allow me to introduce myself. I am me. My username is obvious, however I prefer Elof (Morv is okay) when I'm online and my actual name is Alex. That's probably more information than you wanted...
Anyway I sent in an application a few weeks ago after having a good look around and have been lurking since then. I've been involved in some good old PnP D&D with some friends for a while now (AD&D in fact) and while it's fun we don't tend to do much actual roleplaying. Our group is more about having a get together than serious roleplaying. It's a shame really because I'd like to really get into character, which is why I'm here.
My lurking around has to do with a few things. First there was the (un)fortunate release of two games in the last few weeks (AC:B and GT5) and the fact I haven't played NWN2 for well over a year. I also only recently got Storm of Zehir, so I've had some catching up to do. I've never been a fan of the UI and controls for NWN2 either, so I've had to acclimatise to them again. That's all coming on nicely though and I'm starting to think about a character to bring into ALFA.
So anyway, I look forward to getting into the game and having a good time. I'll need a bit of time to learn the ropes, but every one goes through that... don't they?
I'm thinking of keeping my first character simple, like a fighter (especially as they're going to die anyway, right?
) while I get up to speed. I wouldn't want to end up being responsible for character dying because I got confused during a fight about which spell was the buff and which was the fireball...
