Where am I!?

Hello everyone, I'm the new guy. Seems like there's a lot to do to get started around here, so I'll try to keep this short.
I've been playing D&D for over a decade and I've read more FR novels than I'd like to admit. I am a University student working on an English degree, and I believe I'll seamlessly fit into your Faerun-set PW.
I'm central U.S. but I keep utterly random hours, so you never know when you'll have to deal with me;D
I'm going to log on in a few minutes and give ALFA a try on the Baldur's Gate server, so maybe I'll see some of you there...

Well, the second one's dead. I've made a third character now... I'm less and less attached to them each time. It's hard to respect characters who get killed by maggot covered rats;D
I'll be looking for people to play with, I'm told that to solo means death...

Don't build a real bio till you hit level 2. Post on the bg forums if you are looking to hook up with some people

Vendrin is absolutely right.
Even when people ask my character his origin I tend to be vague until I am higher level because if you get attached you will use up all your good ideas. Save them for a little while, or work on them... no one has to know you are just making the same guy over and over again until one of them lives.

haha...
got my current guy just a shred away from lvl 2... learned to be really paranoid after the last one died (was really attached to him) but anyway i am LOVING alfa... wish i'd seen your posts when they happened, but i wasn't used to the forums here at the time. thanks for the helpful advice guys:)
