A Land Far Away

Hello all,

It has been too long. I finally bought a new computer this weekend and will be in game soon. In my excitement, I updated to 1.23 before checking the forums so I have to reinstall, unless someone can point me to a revert patch.

Also, trying to get used to the keyboard again. Anyone have any good pointers on how to map keys to get the most out of the game?

None the less, looking forward to making some good memories again.

I think we'll be on 1.23 in the near future. Don't think that there is a revert patch available.

I use the default key mapping, but I'm open to suggestions!

I altered my keymapping to make it feel more like NWN1.

I use tab to highlight.

Then I use a personal system of "first letters" for most functions

M- map
C- character sheet
I - inventory
Q- quickcast
S- spell book


For targeting I use " " to highlight the nearest enemy, and then " ] } to attack nearest enemy. That makes for a simple tap with the right hand when the mouse targeting is troublesome (which is frequently in NWN2 I find)

AL plans to shift to 1.23 this weekend barring problems, so log into the NWN2 12.3 test server and help troubleshoot a bit if you're bored ...then we'll see ya on the other side!
