A Land Far Away

Done a lot of stuff focusing on things in ALPHA, but aside from a post in the library and some other odds and ends posts, I haven’t introduced myself.

I’m Stormsong (or as Thunder put it) Storm, depending on your preference. I’ve been a bard forever and a bit longer in many areas of RP gaming. Computer based gaming started with Ultima Online where I became addicted to that form as long as there were real peoples on the other end of the characters. My only issue is that my hands are clumsy so communicating and fighting can be a pain.

When NWN1 came out, I was an admin/scripter/attempted server owner. I created the scripts that managed the environment for a ring of 4 servers as well as a number of other items.

Stayed busy at that until a short while before NWN2 came out. With NWN2 I started to go my own way, but work made it impossible so I gave up. My hope and dream was to build the Vastian Coast. This started in NWN1, but the demands of coding killed the time for it. When I started getting ready for NWN2 I built this page for recruiting: http://figuresnbits.com/TheVast/ .

Now I’m here and hoping to make myself useful, also doing some dreaming as well.

Welcome aboard, Storm...and you're not alone in the combat/communication challenge ...my PC's always tended to go silent (at least the ones that lived, heh)when the fighting started. Some can do it...and kudos to them...I can't.

Thanks bunches for offering to help with building/scripting...I'm certain you just made several HDM's and a HEEGZ very, very happy (watch out for the HEEGZ, though...they're rumoured to be quite dangerous )

Lots of text macros make it *seem* like you can type while you fight.

*keeps his shield high as his blade cuts at the foe*

*loudly declares* Fall Back! We must FALL BACK! ((also known as the "get the f*ck out of here" macro))

*speaks a firm chant as he lays his hands on the shoulder of his ally, staunching the flow of blood with divine power*

*grunts with the effort of continued battle as beads of sweat form on his brow*

etc etc
