The Bard's Tale

Hello out there in the WWW. I was accepted into ALFA this very week and I'm looking forward to joining the NWN 2 campaign as soon as the postman delivers. Thank you for all the guys on the ALFA IRC channel who helped me getting started.
I started playing and DMing (A)D&D back in 1987 and soon I switched to other RPG like Warhammer, DSA, Shadowrun and even Paranoia. My first computer RPG experiences included "Ultima III" and "A Bard's Tale" on the CBM 64 and later "Dungeon Master" (Amiga) of course.
In 1996 I joined the MUD community online (Mythos, Xyllomer), first hacking away in text-based dungeons, later creating own worlds for the players. Well, the whole MUD communiy is slowly disappearing and that's why I kept looking for something to replace the RPG fun I had all these years. But all the Online RPGs out there used to concentrate on monster slaying and the old dull quest circus. What's all the graphic worth when you don't feel comfortable within the world/realms you're in and with the people you meet?
So when a friend told me that there is an online community for NWN 1/2 based not only on farming XP, I decided to investigate the whole NWN thing a little bit more. So I finally turned up with ALFA, where I decided to redo my old bard character back from MUD times. I really wonder what he will look like in color.
Hope to see you on the servers soon,
Ekynos
