Well hallooo there.

Greetings and if you are American, happy turkey day (as I like to call it).

My app has recently been accepted and with any luck I should be playing with you lot very soon, probably not today, as the holiday but soon hehe.

Now all I have to do is get all my files up to date and finishing reading all this info on the forums and website (there is lots of it) and eventually even figure out the password to the server :chin: hehe.

And... if what I see is correct based on the new Worldgate ALFA splash page, we can now all happily update to 1.21? I think I shall and hope it is right since doing the whole uninstall/manual patch thing is about as fun as wrestling with Gibberlings.

Thanks for the welcome.

I read that good luck on your second PC a lot. Is that to intend that we are expected to make a different PC than one we created on the OAS (regardless of that character's fate) or just a joke that usually people's first PC doesn't make it very far? :)

The latter, as a joke as well as a warning. If you have a favourite "concept", it might be better to shelf that at first. Characters are fragile things, and it would be a pity if the one PC you really wanted to play bit the dust while you are fiddling with the PCtools or trying to figure out where the nearest druids live.
You can in fact play the exact same character as you did on the OAS, albeit from square one again.

Welcome to ALFA. Have fun and be fun! :spin:

Been playing a lil bit but haven't ran into a lot of other players. Is there a place where folks usually kinda coalesce? Though I suppose that is a bit of meta thinking. 8)

Meta, but acceptable meta. Which server are we talkin' 'bout?

Silver marches NWN2 I believe.

In that case: Rivermoot seems to be the main focal point, with High Hold a good second and Silverymoon third. It does depend on timezones too, though.
There's no shame in simply sending a tell to other players asking where anybody might be found at that moment. Or join the #alfa-tsm IRC channel and see who's there.

Thanks. I chose to go to Silverymoon as a start unfortunately lol, thinking that would be the focal point. Well... looks like I have a looong walk ahead of me.

I DM was trying to tell me that I think by dropping heavy hints about an orc problem there. I shoulda listened hehe.

If someone was dropping hints about an orc problem in Rivermoot, I'd have chosen the opposite side of the map as well, heh  That's not dim....that's just smart!

CUIG soon
