My C: drive is now, I believe, clean enough for me to download the game, but I am too simple to be able to follow the instructions. I'll try to figure it out... :wall: There are a lot of steps in the process...See you all in-game soon! (mabey) :fencing:

Good news with the C drive.

Let us know if you have any questions with the set up.

The hak download and install process can seem a bit intimidating at first, with the size of the haks and the messing with cryptically-named folders. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions! Once you get over the hurdles, it's worth it... I think so anyway! ;)

See you in-game!

Thanks. :D
So I've downloaded all of the haks directly into "My Documents/NWN2/hak", and the two tlk files in "My documents/NWN2/tlk", But none of the optional files. Is that all I have to do? It says someting else in the directions about 'unRARing' the haks. I don't think I can do this, because it's not letting me open them for some reason... hope I'm making some kind of sense... I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I didn't realize you were working on the NWN2 hak installs, apologies for the confusion. Your best bet for setting those up is an autoupdater called "Worldgate" - it's a download from the nwvault, located here:

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NW ... tail&id=29

you'll want the Worldgate Client Installer, for v1.5.1 - it's the 5th one down there, called "WorldGateClient.msi" - install this, then press the "New" button. When the options to configure come up, skip down to the "From URL" button at the bottom, and give it "www.alandfaraway.org" - once you set it running, it should install the following:

(/docs/nwn2/hak)
alfa_2da.hak
alfa_acr.hak
alfa_fx.hak
alfa_gui.hak
alfa_items.hak
alfa_placeables.hak
alfa_terrain.hak
alfa_tiles.hak

(/docs/nwn2/tlk)
alfa_acr01.tlk

(/docs/nwn2/pwc)
OAS2_test.pwc
alfa003_tsf.pwc

They'll arrive uncompressed and in the correct folders, no need for unRARing. What's better, future updates will be fast as only the changed bits will be downloaded (no need to re-download from scratch every time something changes).

Hope this helps! If you have problems, post here, or look for me or others in IRC #alfa-builders - apologies for not having this stickied clearly anywhere- since our Beta servers have been in development, it's mostly only been the builders who have needed these so far- though that's due to change now, with 003 coming back up shortly.

Exciting times!
