A Land Far Away

Greetings from a land even farther away. I am compeltely new to ALFA and mostly new to real RPing on the computer. Thus, I'm sure I'll need lots of friendly direction.

As I haven't read your entire library yet, I was wondering if someone can tell me what happens to NVN1 Faerun when NVN2 goes full bore. I'm guessing it goes away. Correct?

I noticed on another thread on this forum that certain servers (Luskan, N. Cormyr and some others) were more active than others. So I'll probably try one of those out first.

If you have any general getting started advice (besides read the player guide etc) I'd love to see it here. See you around the Spine of the World.

Hmm..Events that took place in ALFA and deviate from canon won't be mentioned in the NWN2 servers. The old NWN servers will be ketp up as long as there's interest in hosting them.

Pick a server that has players and DMs at your own timezone. Playing alone is not fun.

Might need a bit more info to point you in the right direction as to which server.

As for NWN1 v NWN2 ......efforts (huge efforts) are currently underway to build the servers for ALFA under the new platform.

That said, the Old Lady of ALFA under NWN1 still has compelling stories unfolding every day......hope to see you in game.
