A Land Far Away

Hey All,

I'm not a new member per se, but i've never actually played on Live since I couldn't get the HAK's mailed to me as of yet. It took me five months... but I may now be on Live in the next couple of weeks, and I was wondering if anyone from a GMT: +10 timeslot or anywhere around that was willing to point me toward a server that caters for the AUS/NZ region.

Any server that fits in with that time zone is cool, it doesn't have to be exact, close enough will do...i just want to stop lurking around on the forums and get into Live! Anyways, PM me or just post a reply to this thread if you've got any info.

Welcome to the live servers.
I'd recommend bothering Rotku. He's a Kiwi that likes to help.

TLR (The Long Road) used to be the NZ server, but not so much anymore. I think NC (North Corymr (or however you spell it)) was/is the main Australian server. I don't know about Australians, but there are NZ DMs on TLR, WF (Western Frontier), SD (Shadowdale) and TPI (The Pirate Isles) The SD and TPI NZ DMs are the same person though.

I'm the WF NZ DM, and am availble pretty much by appointment only, except Saturday mornings where I pop on from about 7am Eastern Australia time and stick around until I've killed a player (or about half an hour if nobody is on).

Thanks for your posts so far guys, they've been helpful. In reference to NickD, I've heard that the Western Frontier is a particularly good server for Aussies because the timeslot isn't too bad and apparently a lot of AUS/NZ folks frequent it...Much the same with the pirate isles, both of which i've seen screens of and IMO they look great, so it's a good coincidence for me! I think that after I learn the ropes of live, I'll head there....

Hey All, Great news! Rotku has been very helpful and sorted out the HAK cd mess that i've been in, a huge thankyou to Rotku from me , seeing as within the week, I'll be on Live; after 6 months of membership, I'll finally be back in the game with everyone. Thanks for the suggestions so far guys, and a special Greeting to all the Aussies out there in the expanisve world of ALFA! Hope to see you all soon!
