Hello from TolkiensMind

Post by TolkiensMind »

Hello everyone, im new to ALFA and just wanted to let you know a bit about me and when i usually play. I live in San Diego california, so if your in that time zone, i usually am on after work. Around 5 30 pm. Also, alittle bit about me,, im a AD&D fan, a huge fan. I collect the products all the way back to first edition and original. I love what Alfa has put together here, and im glad to be apart of it. Pleases message me back if you want to meet up on the NWN2 silver marches, or maybe well check out the others, i saw BG in beta, i might have to take a look at that. I saw something in game that i was wondering about. There are some custom skills that dont seem to work , climb, ride ect. ect. i they going to be applied in the near future.?. Also, the misc. items , such as rope and grap hooks, Do the dms ask for us to roll the checks for the specific task, such as climb up a wall ect. ect. I just love that sort of stuff, that is why i ask. anyway, answer would be appreciated. thank you and see in game
Did you bring you players handbook?

I am sure the DMs will have you roll for all of those things and more. As for the technical aspects of NWN2 someone else will have to let you know about that.

Welcome to ALFA, and when they say ... and they will say... "Good luck on your second character." They are offering sage advice. Save your favorite character concept for at least a few weeks until you get the feel for ALFA, it is after all permanent death.

Please send me a PM with items you would like Bryon to carry, I have the one item "Father's bow" ready, but I offered each player 3 items of RP value...

removed self from forums, contact via E-mail. Adios.

Welcome aboard! I will look forward to kil^h^h^hseeing your character on TSM.

I will recommend that your read the ALFA Player Docs, including the ALFA Player Manual (APM), the ALFA Rulebook, the NWN2-specific sections, and the ACR Players Handbook. The haks and scripts of the ALFA Core Rules (ACR) add many new capabilities and rule changes to NWN2 - we hope you'll enjoy them.

Feel free to join us in chat - #alfa-tsm on irc.sorcery.net is the channel for TSM players and DMs, and you can usually find a friendly face in there to answer your questions.

Welcome to ALFA! It's always great to have another D&D enthusiast join us.

As for what's implemented and what's not... well, it's always a work in progress, and we have a great tech staff always working on improving the game. Even so, anything's possible if you have a DM, and I mean that.

And try not to be too intimidated by all the documentation. Sure, it's helpful, but if you log in to play and simply ask a fellow ALFAn for advice and tips, they'll be more than happy to help out.

Hope to see you in game!
Currently laying the smackdown on Faerun as: Keryn Tel'Jora, who is XXX-TREME!!!.
Currently explaining the meaninglessness of it all as Vizian Nazyr.
Currently pointing out all other characters' shortcomings as Stephen the Archer.
