I just recieved the e-mail informing me that my application was accepted. Really looking forward to meeting everyone. Also, if anyone has any tips or advice, I need all the help I can get.

I'll pass along the usual "Best of Luck with your Second Character", which includes the obligitory subtext (because your first will die horribly and unexpectedly early on), even though it's not as common to go that way anymore.

Best advice is to try to link up with a compatibly-timed group of players on a well-supported server somewhere.

If you tend to play late, Waterdeep and Northern Cormyr both offer more personalized attention (though perhaps less overall players), Sembia seems strong on player numbers at most US-time hours, though it's easier to be overlooked in some cases on a busy server. I've also heard good things about Daggerdale of late, I think they have a number of active DMs in your time zone.

You may have to be patient and/or reroll PCs a few times until you find a suitable "home", but it's well worth the trouble- the RP and stories in ALFA are top-notch.
