HI

I just got my acceptance e-mail.

any comments are welcome as I am wondering a few things but I suppose the answer to many will come with login or by combing the forums.

ok, first question.

Haks

I went to downloads and went to site #1. There are a bunch of folders there so I made a new folder on my desktop and dragged the others to this. Indeed it says it is copying. It also says it will take 1 Day...

Is this correct? I have cable internet...

Perhaps it will go faster later.

Read the APM!

The hak files all have 'ahp_3.0_' in the file name. those plus the .tlk are all you need.
Built: TSM (nwn2) Shining Scroll and Map House (proof anyone can build!)

Welcome to ALFA! :)

What I did with the Haks was drag-and-drop a folder or two every few hours. That seemed to work well for me with Cable.

I think our total DL is up to 4GB. The 3.0 HAK is about 1GB (2.5GB unpacked). Regardless, get the current HAK Updater so you'll only have to deal with the pain once.

BTW - The Pirate Isles just hired a couple DMs and we support Rogues that can swim ;)

LE monk is a tricky concept to work for some server- the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting may have some examples of monk orders, so you can plan some of the background.

Perhaps Waterdeep? I think they have a decent GMT-8 contingent that you could likely overlap with.

Prehaps he's hinting ;)

But -10 GMT? Where abouts is that? That's like only two hours ahead of me (and one day behind)
